average
The real group is in 8th grade. They have size and skill positions. I wouldn't doubt one or two may see varsity consideration.

What Im trying to say is Silsbee has not played as expected, is it possible BC or HJ could pull off an upset??
So we're 2 games into the season with Silsbee blowing out a Houston Davis team with their starters pulled to start the 2nd half and then losing to a solid Diboll team. BC has played 2 winless squads....you're reaching.

I hope "Permian by the creek" go in thinking they are going to roll. I do not normally make predictions about Silsbee but Silsbee by at least 18.
-
Turnovers deep in your own end of the field, unnecessary penalties, and penalties calling tds back = losses. Many opportunities were lost last night. Silsbee needed this. The film will show the areas that folded. People that use last week's Diboll game versus this week's to judge Silsbee will be making a bad mistake.

Examiner exclusive......canned nacho cheese in the concession stand isn't real cheese. :
The Beaumont papers are a joke.

HOUSTON DAVIS!!!! HOUSTON DAVIS!!!!!! Look here is the deal. I pull for any team in southeast Texas when it comes playoff time. Silsbee by far has the best looking kids. They are big, strong and fast. Yet every year they fall short come playoff time. Silsbee never lives up to the hype except in basketball. I hope this year is different and they prove me wrong but I doubt it. Go ahead and smite me.
What a stupid and ignorant post. The last few seasons they have made the playoffs they made a couple rounds.

The famed chicken in the pressbox arrives around 6.

Who cares really...the paper is so weak now they probably won't even have the scores printed come Saturday morning. The Enterprise used to have the box scores/recaps and be relevent now it is just rehashed AP stories. How long until it folds?

can anyone tell me if Jeremy Johnson has a "BIG CHIN"?
What????
Ability to take a hit?
-
Looks like they are ready for a monster truck rally.
-
Kirbyville anyone?

Pretty pathetic a conference uses a high school facility for their tourney. It should rotate around.

From looking at the polls, its seems as if the "Mid County" teams are the most hated. I wonder why? Hmmm.....
Media oversaturation and the elitist attitude that many there (not all :-*) exhibit similar to Notre Dame. No offense but the end all be all of setx football isn't mid-county although many would have us believe it is.
-
The talent pool is pretty deep on the younger levels.
-
Doesn't matter if Michigan was down last season or not......the Big 10 is always on tv and always overated by the eastern media. It is great he has the options.
-
If those perennial powers are offering I can't see a logical reason to want to go to a perennial cellar dweller in Baylor. I understand the coach recruited his brother but still. If he wants the media spotlight and a qb position I'd think Michigan is the answer if they stick with Rodriguez as coach.
-
Looks like the people are satisfied with the way things are going.
As much as folks disagreed and got up in arms last fall, you can only agree with that statement. The next time the folks at WOS want to throw a fit about an issue they need to fault themselves for the low turnout. They could have made a change.
-
Kountze has always had issues with their fb program. Like it or not the AD situation is a key detriment to the program. They lost some good quality coaches when that went down a few years back. They may be looking for 2 new head coaches now.
-
If I was one of the finalists and the board couldn't decide on me after this process I can't say I'd want the position now. If Coop wasn't joking and they truly were allowing Joubert in at this stage of the process I'd pull my name and tell them to stick it. Besides Joubert needs to come to Silsbee when Travis leaves.
-
Todd is the best coach in this area. He builds kids up and has them perform at levels higher than their abilities really should allow. He is a stand up guy that models his expectations. He did the same when we were in Kountze. To those HJ faithful who think you know everything, go educate yourselves and get a coaching job. Until then how about you go polish those state trophies this man has.
-
That kind of stuff always happens. I heard folks slam Todd one year when he was still in Kountze when they lost in the state finals. One of them was the middle school volleyball coach at the time.
Travis experienced the same nonsense the other night when HJ won in Silsbee. Some parents are just straight up ignorant.

Jeremy's brother who plays at UH.

Silsbee's young line has to gel at some point. It is extremely porous right now. JJ has little to no time. His sheer athletic ability is all that is keeping Silsbee in these games. There is no reason to be around the 15 yard line with 3rd and 1 and no be able to get the 1st on 2 tries. The wrs are dropping some passing that are hitting their numbers and hands.
Lumberton did what they needed to do to win however I can't say Lumberton is in the top of their district if last night's performance was their norm.
