Prime example of the problem with a poll. Look at region 4 in 4A DII. 4th ranked Geronimo Navarro has 3 first place votes, and the 4th coach doesn't have them in the top ten. Somebody doesn't like that coach, school, or team. Something smells funny in that ranking.

How does WOS magically jump back to number 1. That is a little much!
I don't care if you put WOS, Newton, or Coldspring 2,3, or 4, you can justify it, but at this point East Chambers should be number 1 until somebody beats them. I think Coldspring could beat any of them, but East Chambers is the only undefeated team on there. I don't want to hear all that strength of schedule mess either because HJ had a weak schedule and y'all threw them up there. -
I am sure I will get blasted on this thread but I was at this game Friday night. C/O up big in first quarter and they onside kick. Come on coach!!
After all of the monkey and other racist comments by the other team, then trying to target the knees of the Coldspring players, they are lucky the score wasn't 100-0. Come on coach!! -
I think Tarkington has a great chance to beat Diboll, which would give Madisonville 2nd place.
I think anything can happen with Diboll and Tarkington. I never thought Diboll would beat Madisonville, and I thought after they did, that shepherd and Tarkington would surely beat them. This game could go either way.
I am just hoping now that Shepherd doesn't flop and let Huntington beat them, or Coldspring doesn't let Madisonville pull off an upset. -
Liberty gets overlooked every year. They have even quit arguing about it this year without splendora and Tarkington to get their hopes up.

After starting district with a losing record and losing the first district game to Diboll, Madisonville has turned things around. Can Madisonville knock Coldspring off the throne? Or, will Coldspring continue their string of district championships?

Thanks, fixed it. That also puts Diboll and Madisonville tied with -10. I assume then they go back to head-to-head and Diboll gets 3rd.
Kind of crazy for Madisonville this week. If they win they are district champs. If they lose, they are 4th place. -
If shepherd, Coldspring, and Diboll win this week:
3 way tie for 2nd between Shepherd, Madisonville, and Diboll.
Anyone know how The tie breaker for district goes?

If Diboll beats Tarkington, Shepherd beats Huntington, and Coldspring beats Madisonville, wouldn't that put Madisonville, Shepherd, and Diboll in a 3 way tie for second with wins over each other?
I don't know what the tie breaker is, I am assuming points against each other. Not sure who has better numbers there, I believe Shepherd would, for second??? -
You have a bad team and are playing a powerhouse, that you have no chance of beating. At what point do you scrap your offense, and just start throwing hail mary's down the field, or try every trick play you have ever seen, or at least stop punting and go for it on fourth downs?

I don't get why some coaches continue to do the same thing over and over, even when their offense is going backwards and the other team is scoring at will. Why not try something else? -

Madisonville is now 3-1 in District, with Coldspring to go. Should end 3-2.
Shepherd is now 2-2 in district, with Huntington to go. Should end 3-2.
Diboll is 2-2 in district with Tarkington to go. If they win, will be 3-2.
Shepherd and Madisonville are in the playoffs. Depending on what happens between Diboll and Tarkington next week for placing.
Diboll beat Madisonville, Madisonville beat shepherd, shepherd beat Diboll. If Diboll wins will have to go to next tie breaker for placings.
If Tarkington wins, then Madisonville number 2, shepherd 3, Tarkington 4.
If Madisonville can beat Coldspring they are number 1 with Coldspring 2nd. Don't see that happening, but you never know with kids. -
