cant wait to see what the eagle bring to the table for the 20016 season, pre-season again should get us ready for district and playoffs, tuff looking pre-district for sure!!!

The entire O line is coming back (bigger and better), plus the horse RB from last year.  Most of the defensive line will return as well... The defense is going to decide how we do this year.  How well the LBs and secondary progress is gonna be key.  The defense struggled through district play last year, and our middle linebacker and heavy hitter safety are both graduating.  The QB is graduating, but his little brother took all of the JV snaps this year and will start as a junior next year.  He's the coach's younger son and has been playing in our system for years. We don't expect a letdown at QB, despite the change. 
 
We're excited and expecting big things from the team this year.  This is the second offseason under Dubois' program, and we think if they continue to improve we'll play better ball then we did last year.
 
One thing's for sure... we'll know a lot more about it after we play you guys and WOS.

I hope this will be a good game.  I think Newton wins in any case.  
And Newton fans, don't let a couple of posters fool you.  Most of us in SETX have great respect for your team, coaches, kids, and fans.  And no one likes BC outside of BC.  They've always been legends in their own minds ;)

I'm ready to nation, just hope it's a injury free game despite the out come, but would like to see a W  tonight............ Really don't want to deal with these nuts on here if we get the L lol J/K

Sorry, but I disagree.  There is plenty of upside to playing folks that come off of a state championship run, no matter their classification.  I know that Coach DuBois recognizes that.  BC is much better prepared for the rigors of their district schedule as a result of having a Newton on their schedule, as is Tatum, Henderson, Orangefield and WO-S.

Please do not associate these newbies post with the rest of BC.

They can make it to State, all they have to do is drive up and buy a ticket, get a good seat and watch

This team remembers last year's game with Orangefield. That being said, Newton is healthy and will be ready. Playing at home is always a plus. I don't think Newton will be concentrating on anything but the Bobcats come Friday night. And surely could care less about school size, trophies, colleges or much else than whipping the Orangefield Bobcats. I'll be there in supporting my Eagles.

Nope but I take into consideration wins and losses. They only reason newton is still in is because who they have played and the team I know they eventually will show to be but you can't vote them high with only 1 win. You just can't. The credit is shown by being in the rankings period. 

Newton and North Shore are the only teams in all three rankings with only one win. There is consideration being taken.
