Sometimes defensive adjustments will change course of the game. What works first half might not work the second half. 

I will be shocked if Omicron doesn't have an impact.  I wouldn't be surprised if the virus is a determining factor in some cases.  Predictions are simply impossible in this climate.  
For instance....

Silsbee has a two game lead on it's way to the district championship.  If the whole team got Omicron this Wednesday, after Tuesday's game at Orangefield, there's a very good chance that it would have no impact on their standing at all because they are off Friday.   They'd have time to quarantine, they'd have their natural immunity (which appears to be the only thing that has much value) and they would be good to go. 

On the other hand if the Tigers don't get it now and make it through the first couple of rounds, which they should, and then key players come down with it their season is over.

On the third hand if the Tigers aren't affected by Omicron at all and Faith Family's kids get it during the playoffs then Silsbee's chances of another state championship increase dramatically.
It's an uncertain world for sure.

3rd I think 

HJ up 32-24 with 2:12 left in the half.  They aren’t playing very well.  They can’t buy a 3 and are about 2/10 from the ft line since I tuned in.  

I don’t think the Lions will hang with the Hawks at Sour Lake. They aren’t bad but I’d take HJ by 10 at home. It may be a closer when the two teams meet up in Livingston.

Me either.  I doubt many, myself included, expected OF to even win, much less blow them out.

Lol. I don’t know the coach I do know you ain’t winning varsity basketball games scoring 20 points a game no matter who’s fault it is. 

Buna needs discipline and learn how to take care of the ball. No consequences for throwing the ball away numerous times. They aren’t in shape at all. Just my 2 cents 

The plot thickens.  I assumed these two would meet undefeated on Tuesday.  Now the Tigers can split with L-CM and still win the district outright if they win everywhere else.  



 

Checking the scores and saw W 84 - EC 26…just came out of the coma and see it was backwards. I’m better now.

True. But my big eyes was cause of how close the game was.  With Anahuac s length and athleticism it should not of been this close

Livingston is flying under the radar this year 

HF can play around if they want but they don’t want to see Silsbee in the 1st game of playoffs again. So y’all better get it together parents, Coaches, and kids.. just my observation because there seams to be some disfunction in HF.. 

I think you have to go with EC until someone shows they can knock them off.

Or Newton. This district is a lot more competitive than I think some may have thought going into the season.

I Guess come Monday the kids have an apology coming from the Coach or maybe a reason to why he pulled them...🗣

If all 5 starters got pulled and have no idea why 24 games into the season I don’t need to hear anything else. HF will catch a break getting Huffman next week at Hamshire. That would have been a tough one in Huffman and a 3rd loss will all but eliminate them from title contention. 

You could see this coming like a freight train. Several close games last year by opposing teams in Livingston last season as well. Couple a recent tournament win by HF over Livingston and it made a perfect recipe for the Livingston win. HF is good enough to beat anyone in this district if they all show up if not they can get average quick. 

Well this didn't age well, a near loss to Vidor on Tuesday and a loss at home to Orangefield.

I can remember some folks questioning my basketball IQ when I suggested HJ would be as good as last year. I agree with you, I think they are a little better. Not quite as deep but pretty solid.
