If Coach Green has gotten it done everywhere else he has been maybe he wasn't the one that didn't get it done. Maybe it was his players that fell short. What ya think ??

I think Buna has a pretty good upcoming group, I hear a couple of them will have to move up early that may not be quite ready but they will be pretty good a couple years down the road !!

Didn't they have David Green a few years back ? He seems to be doing OK .

I don't think Kountze has a lot coming in the under class ranks. They will be pretty solid this year though !!

It hasn't been the coaching I don't think. There has been some pretty good ones down there.

I haven't been over there in the last couple of years.

Not sure why the boys field has fallen off. Not many years ago Silsbee, Hardin Jefferson and East Chambers were in the field. Not sure I've seen Kountze in it before.

I can remember not to many years ago when there were some very good teams in the Evadale tourney.

Surely the Hawks will wave the white flag and go peacefully to avoid embarrassment !!

They couldn't go wrong with Hancock. He has done a great job everywhere he's been as a head coach and was very instrumental in Kountze's success as an assistant.

High school clubs have an entirely different make up than the AAU clubs. A 5-A head coaching position is not a good fit for a 1st year coach. No disrespect to the guys that carry the summer teams around but there is a lot of individual play in those games and not a lot of coaching. I would think the Central job would attract a who's who list of applicants. There are some really good ones out there. The guy in WOS would be a GREAT fit !!!

Now that we have 2 message board starters solidified how do we round out the starting five

If Silsbee gets any more players they will have to petition the UIL to have a split squad and play in two different regions

LOL. I was talking about Spearman. The poster had him with second group, you said he was no longer in Silsbee . Badsanta then mentioned him going to Beaumont and getting a scholarship. Just curious if the Tigers were gonna be good enough to get 2nd team players scholarships?? Graylon Arnold could start for any club in SETX. If he goes to Silsbee he would be the best player since Ashton Hall to cross the creek.

Just curious if you had him penciled in as a second teamer what his chances of getting a scholarship were ?? If the Tigers are that good it could be scary.

While national rankings and college offers are nice there is lots of time for change between the time a kid is 14 and when actually matures enough physically to play college ball. All the kids on this list are going to be really good players before they are done.

Only thing that hurts him is his size. If you leave him open behind the 3 pt line he will kill you. If you put a body out there he struggles some, very good little player though.
