from one of your biggest fans. First and foremost, I apologize to you and the coaching staff for publicly calling your coaches out over the last two games. We should never call into question things the coaches do if we are unwilling to go to them and discuss in person. I feel I was wrong in the criticism I put out there especially since I want nothing more than to see you all succeed and play your hardest. So, I ask all of you, especially VP77, to give me a pass. Besides, the decibel level at our football and basketball games will gone by -10 if I'm not there. Second, don't put too much stock in what people say on this board. It is mostly a bunch of old, crusty guys who still hold on to their former glory days through you all. There are a handful that actually know what they're talking about, most of us are guessing. Half of what is said on here is us messing with each other. Third, congratulations on what I think was the greatest offensive display in Vidor football history. You could have easily made it 100 if you had wanted and kept Lee's scoring by half of what they finished with. Something to be very proud of. Finally, I expect the best from all of you. Friday night, you have the opportunity to take this season into your hands; to determine your path to the playoffs. I expect this homecoming to see the field littered with the remains of little purple and yellow fur balls that the buzzards which line the sides of the highways have to come in and pluck with their beaks after the carnage you make of the Panthers.

Having already played both teams I think Vidor has the edge this Friday, throw in it being Homecoming can't hurt either, but one thing for sure is there will be a lot of points scored by both teams, turnovers may be the difference maker.

If you go back and listen to that song, Kenny locked the door and got after the whole gang by himself..... He didn't have to gang up with his boys and jump somebody from behind.  "We'll wait until the next play when he's not paying attention, and I'll hit him high.... you go low!  Let's go!!!!!!!"  Secondly, it's not stereotyping to condemn a violent attack on a unsuspecting and defenseless person.  Thirdly, "turning the other cheek" refers to Jesus's teachings to this disciple as what to do once someone has struck your cheek first.  These kids didn't decide not to "turn the other cheek...." they chose to attack somebody who hadn't physically done anything to them.  Fourth, it's seems to be pretty stereotypical on your part to defend these kids actions based on the type of environment that they were raised in without knowing anything about them.  These kids were failed by parents, coaches,friends and communities that are too quick to defend and justify behaviors that are logically indefensible. 
 
 

First of all, I'm not sure how old the rest of y'all are, but I'm in my forties.  I can promise you that when I was growing up, NOBODY would have considered attacking a ref for any reason, period.  Secondly, people from my generation or at least the part of the world where I grew up would consider kids like these the biggest fematalia(s) in the whole world for ganging up on another person, period.  Think about it.... when you were kids, you would NOT want to be one of the guys that was part of a group that attacked another guy from behind.  It just showed fear and weakness on the part of the attackers.... In today's culture, not only is the gang-attack mentality accepted, we study the "instigation" to try and place blame on the guy that got jumped.  It's a sad reflection on today's youth and the lack of parenting that they have received. 
 
Next, the whole "racial slur" excuse is ridiculous.  Is that word offensive?  It seems like it would be.  However, when everybody from the President of the United States to athletes to rap artist use the term without any condemnation from the masses, but a ref throwing it around (allegedly) is justification for a gang attack?  Really?  I blame the race pimps that try to teach kids that there is a difference between "killer" and "killa" based on the color of the speaker's skin.  It's like saying the f-bomb is only offensive when spoken by a virgin, who has no idea what the word actually means.  When everybody gets together and says "hey, look.... either it's offensive or it's not" then people can move forward.  I'm willing to bet that both of these two thugs (errr.... can use that one anymore- I mean "misguided youths"), have ipods full of the same "racial slur" that they are accusing this ref of using.... as if that's any type of defense.  
 
The behavior is unacceptable, inexcusable, and deserves the harshest of punishments.  There is no defense that justifies a coordinated, group attack on an unsuspecting person.   Period.  Condemning their actions on the internet does nothing to stop this type of behavior, or prevent copycat attacks.  Harsh punishment might.

Cordial and classy has NOTHING to do with being competitive. I compete between the white lines under the "rules of competition".. Anything outside those white lines is governed by the "rule of law".
Go crazy, Just be prepared for the consequences.

I have had many calls go against me, but I have never considered touching an official! This should be treated as criminal assault and these boys should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Alright this is enough lol. To rob this may be a rivalry game because he works with Nederland guys or whatever but to us it's not a rivalry game. Just another game on the schedule. Yes we do get hyped up for it because it's the first game in district most years and Ned has been good and been the measuring stick for our district lately so we always give it our best but it is not a rivalry game. Anyways yes it has bee since 2010 that we have beaten Ned mark my words, this game will come down to the wire as it always does and yall might be surprised by the outcome. And that's all I'm gonna say about it lol.

I hope the QB goes on to Alabama has a great career. Whether or not CV was "pulling" back in 2nd half or not, 1st team D and O played the entire game. Mid way through the 4th CV was still passing downfield but not connecting. Now CV looked pretty good last night against us last night, not taking anything away from them. I guess we will all see how good they are once they start playing 6A schools. Now does CV defense struggle with slot-t, 268 yds rushing, 17 first downs, 4.79 yds per rush and forced 1 punt. 
Now what you don't understand, being you where not at our game. Was that these young men could have very well just laid down and gave up but they did not. Being down 28-0 before they new it what happened, coach Mathews gathered every one of them up on the sideline and challenged them to be men and show some heart and they did that by not quitting. They played strong and kept there composure and made everyone in the stands proud to be a Pirate last night. So you can bash us from afar while you enjoy your winning season.  That's ok, someone has to win and someone has to loose. But one thing you or anyone else will never be able to say is that the Vidor Pirates are or will ever be scared to line up across from any team and play some football.

like to call out kids ? 
1. #27 runs scared? He had 17 carries for 86 yards. Avg. 5.1 a carry  1 TD .plus a 72 yard TD return.
2 corners are weak? The defense gave up 273 passing yards to a Alabama commit  who has 728 passing yards in 3 games averaging 242 a game passing with 11 td's.
3.ran around end all night? How did #7 the fullback end up with 14 carries for 80 yards and a TD?
4.D-backs too slow. We had two sophomores back there starting there first game due to some injuries. Going against a quality QB and a team with 1512 total yards in 3 games.  That's a avg. Of 500 yards a game.
6. Politically correct? Get your facts straight before u start calling anyone out. Especially kids.by the way my name is Corey berg.

Like try to keep everyone up on the game. CV does have some size.  Everything has dried up nicely and sun is peeking out.

I will never forget the sadness, and amazement that I felt that morning.   Terrorist striking on our soil and killing our citizens is something that will always be with me.  All the mess that goes on internally in our country needs to stop.  I am proud to have served.  I am proud to continue serving.  I absolutely love our country.
