Here is a Bold prediction for you. Vidor keeps the game close with PAM. Not saying they will win (but they could) but the game will be close due to the offense they run and Memorials lack of experience going against that type of offense.

I put that there because of a few things. Jags return virtually everyone from a defense that was tops or 2nd to tops in the district. (9 or 10 returning starters in defense including the defensive player of the year). Also, they are one of the few teams that return a starting QB. On offense, they inherited a really good JV squad that I believe only lost 1 game last year that will translate really well to varsity.
JV squad doesn't always translate "really well" on varsity level. How many starters were sophomores? I believe it was a few years ago when Vidor JV squad were blowing teams out but there were 10 juniors start on both sides of the ball.

I think Nederland normally has 'that player'. You know, Krautze, Saey, Benjamin, the Meats, ext. I don't think there are any of those players coming. That's why I said that. Cupboard is dry...
Well we do have a Willy Ray Smith Finalist coming back in Mayfield, you will be hearing his name a lot next year. Safety and possibly QB he played there his freshman year. He will be our "that player"

Dak Prescott in round 3 would be great to groom. I don't think Cook is going to be a NFL caliber qb. Texans are getting their boy from Penn State in round 2.
Round 1.) Bosa/Ramsey
Round 2.) Derrick Henry or interior D lineman. (Been seeing A'shaun Robinson falling.
Round 3.) Dak Prescott
Round 4.) LB or another CB.
Dallas needs defensive help bad. I can't watch another season on no sacks or turnovers... I want the D back in Big D
-
If Dallas can jump back in Round 1 if Elliot starts falling that would be awesome (as long as we don't get a Lamar Miller or someone in free agency)
round 2 we need a big interior D lineman or CB (Eli Apple) but it looks like he will be gone by the time he gets to us...
-
If Cleveland drafts Wentz that leaves Goff a more proven QB and he will sit behind Romo. But it's going to be really hard to pass on Bosa if he is there to take.

Sumlin will get axed before Strong.
Herman and Sumlin could very well switch places by this time next year.

Nederland's third non-district game is College Station. Site TBA
So Bulldogs have West Orange-Stark, Dayton and College Station
Ouch... What a way to start the season 3 VERY talented quality opponents.

You would have had to move 679 students to get Central to 6A...not going to happen.
All it takes is ReZoning to make it happen tho. Which the district desperately needs to update and redo anyways to make the numbers a little bit more even and better for Ozen. So don't think it's so hard to make happen.

Any word on who y'all might be scrimmaging?

Wait 2 more years for the next realignment, maybe #'s will push them D2 and then drop down to be in WOS district.
Best case scenario, push numbers around move central up to 6a Ozen to 4A D1/2 where they fall. PAM moves back to 6A. Have 3 teams from the area 6A numbers. Insert Deer Park La Porte GCM Sterling and there you go there's your district. But BISD can only dream of that one right.

District 10-4A Div 1
Bridge City
Cleveland
Huffman Hargrave
Livingston (brutal drive)
Navasota (even more of a brutal drive)
Little Cypress-Mauriceville
Silsbee
The rest are manageable distances - BISD is well renowned for their decision making skills
If Ozen would have went 4A I don't think Navasota would be in that district. BISD had to send 2 schools to Livingston all the time for 4 years because they used to be in district down here. It's not all that bad just hard on the kids on a yellow dog on a Tuesday. But the funds are now shot because all the travel with Westbrook.

Feel bad for those kids...they should be in district with Bridge City, Cleveland, Huffman Hargrave, Livingston, LC-M, Navasota and Silsbee...
If Ozen was in that district Navasota wouldn't be in that district. Just imagine if Silsbee Ozen HJ were all in the same Basketball district...just what if Ozen wouldn't have moved up... Baytown Lee maybe wouldn't be in or district and we would have barbers Hill and Dayton? I mean the possibilities could be endless... If Ozen would have went 4A

Anyone ever figure out who Ozen plays? We all know one week is filled by west brook, but who are the other 2?

Hoping for WOS to play a tough 5A from the Houston region like Foster or another of that size and strength. Any word if Foster will be back?
Who does Jasper have at week 5? That would be a great match up

I corrected. Nederland faces Dayton, not GCM Week 2. My apologies
HA.
-
Well If Dayton can post their 2 teams they plan on playing in non district maybe that will clear some things up.
As of right now Nederland could have 1, 2, or all 3 games set up. Only one that has been confirmed is WOS. Week 1.

2016 Dallas Cowboys
in Professional Sports- NFL, NBA, MLB, Etc

I think Dallas will sign Long, he just got release by the Rams and he will be a cheap deal that still has a lot of gas in the tank in him. Especially with Gregory out 4 games and Dallas not resigning Hardy.
Carr is such a big money pit for Dallas he needs to be a post June 1st cut take the loss on his deal and draft Ramsey.
If if we can sign a proven veteran Linebacker to play the Mike would be great too. Or draft scobby Wright. Who knows someone might fall in round 2.
This draft in round 1 and 2 needs to focus on the defense side of the ball. Playmakers that's can come in and contribute from day 1. Drafting a QB with the 4th overall pick (in my eyes and weak QB class) is telling me this team is super bowl capable or you are in rebuild mood and bombing the next season and possibly year after that. We need to draft QB in mid rounds and groom him or sign a quality veteran like Colt McCoy and worry about it next year.
