If you would open your eyes, I’ve said repeatedly that I’ve been vaccinated. Lol. I did it on my own accord. A grown man or girlie man should be able to decide that on their own.

Two Texas Dem Fleebaggers on Vacation in Portugal
SmashMouth replied to Hagar's topic in Political Forum
If I’m being honest, I don’t think it’s a big deal going to Portugal. I hope they keep taking trips and maybe their constituents will vote them out for abandonment of their duties. -
I was being facetious. Lol.

I get your arguments. All decent ones too. But if you believe, like the medical & scientific community do, the the vaccine puts you at an almost zero risk for China virus death, a HUGELY diminished risk for hospitalization, a very small risk for even catching or passing along the virus, then isn’t making the personal choice of getting vaccinated good enough for YOUR safety? Pertaining to your children. What about RSV, the flu, a common cold… They could catch that too. My son played football, hung around a large number of unvaccinated unmasked teens. Went to in person learning at Lumberton High School. Never got Covid. Been tested 7 times for various reasons in the last year. Attended an unmasked all day orientation in close quarters at UMHB (brought him yesterday to move-in 😢). Never had China Virus. Kids don’t get it, don’t spread it like older folks do. That’s one of the reasons you didn’t have cases in your class too.

Texas conservatives like him too. I know I do. If Trump doesn’t run, I think conservative Texans would be all over a DeSantis ticket.
-
Yep. You are correct. Luckily Kavanaugh beat that rap.
-
I don’t know if your stats are right or not. I’m vaccinated, and I’m simply stating that no matter what your race, gender or political affiliation is, it’s your choice to be responsible.
-
I sincerely don’t think Trump, who will be around 78, will end up running. DeSantis, however, would do great (pending any viable skeletons being dragged out of the closet).
-
No disrespect to your post. It’s at least a fair question. Which precautions are you speaking of? If it’s a mask mandate, then my answer would be no. If it’s shutting down businesses, then my answer would be no. If it’s a vaccination mandate, then my answer would be no. If it’s virtual classroom instruction instead of in person learning, then my answer would be no. Now, if you mean a return to personal responsibility and doing what you think is right for yourself and your family, then my answer would be a resounding yes! Vaccinate if it’s the right choice for YOU. Mask up if it’s the right choice for YOU. Stay home and shelter in place if it’s the right choice for YOU. Let people live as responsible citizens.

I guess I’m wondering what the hospitals consider “overwhelmed”.
-
So are you saying, “get the shot”?
-
I’ve been trying to tell him the same thing. Lol. He gone stupit.

Not with the crime of insurrection. It’s too easy to be blinded with hate and butt kissing by your new buddy Inmamawelust

You’re delusional. Seriously. 1. When did I say he did nothing wrong? And no, I would never have taken part in the rioting that ensued on 1/6. 2. I’ve stated on here several times that he will not be successful in a second attempt. The reason they’re trying to get the insurrection to stick is because that would mean he can’t run again, and they’re scared. 3. The hundreds that have been charged is not for insurrection. 4. You still haven’t given the legal definition of the crime of insurrection.
-
Encouraged how?
-
That’s not the legal definition, btw.

Thanks. I was saving the article below as a retort to an inevitably weak response from @CardinalBacker . It’s a pretty interesting read: [Hidden Content]

What is the legal definition of an insurrection?

No, I think the mantra now is 2024. -
What is the legal definition of an insurrection?

Yes they are. Thanks for the proof.

Let’s break down the fallacy of your argument: Which Congress”person” (if you’re going to turn into a left-winger, you need to use the correct “woke” verbiage) was brutalized or killed? It just didn’t happen. If that’s your argument, then you don’t have one. Why didn’t the protesters start shooting up the place? Set the building on fire? Set off explosives? As far as the gallows, don’t you think that was symbolic and not an actual end goal? Look CB, quit trying to make something out of it that wasn’t. Left wing exaggeration does not an insurrection make. I’m sorry Trump let you down. But I’ll tell you one thing he didn’t do… He did not call for an insurrection. He didn’t even call for a riot. He called for a protest. Was it a riot? I would call it a riot (although your left wing buddies wouldn’t if you use their examples of peaceful protests). What those people that marched down to the House did was completely on their own. It was wrong. It was stupid. It just wasn’t an insurrection. Answer me this, how many of them have been charged with (far less convicted of) insurrection?
-
It was a protest. It wasn’t even organized. Nobody had any real hopes of stopping the transfer of power. Nobody got killed (except one of the protesters). It was a show of discontent at best. A protest more or less.

It’s my understanding that remdesivir is still not embraced by all in the medical arena and is often times hard to get. I don’t know if that’s the reason, but it’s possible. Clinical trials do show that it’s more effective if started earlier in the recovery process.
