WOSgrad got a reaction from Mr. Buddy Garrity in Deer Park 41, Beaumont West Brook 31/Final
Another game where Deer Park made the opponent pay for their turnovers!

WOSgrad got a reaction from Gasilla in will the mustangs rest the 4 players that were hurt last friday
I don't think Mr. Ump meant that as a compliment. So in the event you took it that way, I'll translate as I do also speak WO-C CISD:
SHUT UP!!!!

WOSgrad got a reaction from football04 in Mid County Madness Game
I would not change the venue of the game, but I might look into changing the day of the game to a Saturday. They might be able to sell TV rights to the game and boost revenue. After all, this is the marquee game and deserves the spotlight of its own day.

WOSgrad got a reaction from dayton in Prayers please!
Gifford Broussard, father of Vidor athletic department secretary Lori Mathews, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Lung Cancer about 1 1/2 ago. Since then, his health has deteriorated to the point where he is now in grave condition at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Please include him, his friend Meredith and his girls Jeannie and Lori and the rest of his family. Also please for my dad who is taking this downturn pretty hard (yes, Gifford is also my uncle).
Thanks,
Todd

WOSgrad got a reaction from Gasilla in Richmond Foster 17 West Orange-Stark 14/Final
Well, let's dissect this. Coach Foreman a varsity coach at WO-S, left after Coach Thompson was named head coach in 2011. So by the time Coach Foreman came back to coach against West Orange-Stark most of the guys that he had contact with had graduated. So your statement that he had a conflict of interest (which together with the urging of us to "do the math " lead to an unmistakable inference that he did not do his level best to win that ballgame last year) doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
Does Toby Foreman want to be head coach at West Orange-Stark? Absolutely. He has made no bones about that in every head coaching interview, including the one with Rodney Saveat. He figures that probably cost him a few of the jobs he was a finalist for but he said he wasn't going to lie just to get the job. This is the type of integrity that Toby Foreman has. So, as a friend of Toby and someone who was one of the first to advise him of the Central job, I must say that I am pretty darned disgusted by the inferences you have been making toward him. As you say, he has brought a level of respectability to the Central program and he deserves a whole heck of a lot better than the inferences that one Jaguar alum has made against him in this thread.
And I thought my friend would be the last to level such charges.

WOSgrad got a reaction from H-D BOBCAT 55 in New format to the SETXsports Football Rankings
If, when you see the SETXsports tonight, something looks different.....you are correct!!! We have had a problem of the last few years trying to fit three different classifications into one poll. It was pretty difficult to rank those classes together and develop a poll. But, we were sort of hamstrung by the limited number of area schools that we included in the polls.
However, this year we decided that every team which is in an SETXsports district, regardless of whether they are a local school, would be eligible for our polls. Given this increase in the number of schools, we have found it feasible to further break down the classes.
So starting with the Week 5 rankings, SETXsports will have THREE set of rankings, a 6A/5A Top Ten, a 4A/3A Top Twelve, and a 2A-Private Top 10.
I know that our still rankings aren't going to satisfy some, but it makes for more interesting matchups and hopefully get those who deserve to be ranked but there wasn't room for to be ranked.
