It would probably do Crosby (the team) good if they could schedule a legitimate, top end 5A or 6A team in pre district then to challenge them. That way when your really challenged when it matters, like in the later rounds of the playoffs, the team has faced it before and will know how to handle it.

Gunho earlier in the year when I was telling people about them. I'm guessing people thought i was blowing smoke up there arse bekuz my kid plays on the team. I been around these kids since Flag Football and knew how special they could be. It was just a matter of them sticking together, putting the grind in, and staying focus at the task at hand. Well, I keep hearing about Plusone and what he has said.  Let's talk about why is no longer here.  First, he accused another poster of running a meth lab and I told him to cool it, but that was not good enough for him and he continued to engage.  So that bought him his first banishment, only a night, which I thought may get his attention.  However, it was only a few weeks later when he changed his screen name to a word that I had told another poster was inappropriate just a couple of days earlier.  Warnings to change his name only caused him to choose inappropriate alternatives.  Given that he had no regard for the rules of this board, he was given a permanent vacation.
The shame of all of this is that Coach Ro is a great guy and lucky for Crosby, a great coach, too.  I hurt for him and the kids as they deserved a better fate than what met them last night.  However, for Crosby posters to walk around since September, discussing how weak the football is "east of the Trinity" only to have their beloved team bow out in the same round as members of the district (particularly PNG and Nederland) that they spoke down to and then claim "bias" when the emperor is shown to have no clothes, well:

When I graduated from WO-S in 1986:  The largest district, which was what is now 6A, constituted the following schools: Beaumont-Charlton-Pollard, Beaumont French, Beaumont West Brook, Nederland, Port Arthur Jefferson, Port Neches-Groves, Vidor and West Orange-Stark.  Of those schools, 3 (Charlon-Pollard and French, who were merged to form Central and TJ, who was merged with Lincoln and SFA) no longer exist.  And even the schools that they now constitute have not been able to maintain 6A numbers. 3 others have dropped to what is now 5A and another all the way to 4A.  As of this upcoming alignment, only West Brook of those 8 teams will remain in 6A and some will argue that they benefited from the infusion of students of South Park High School which was closed after the 85-86 school year.
What was the 5A district has met the same fate as to my recollection only Lumberton remains.

Wasn't it suggested that we, SETXsports, hang it's hat on a certain team to rep as the "last man standing" when this season came to an end? Wasn't Mecca suppose to be the savior of our weak ass area in this 2015 season? Shouldn't a team that carried the #1 ranking of our beloved area all year make it past the 2nd round?
Actually, I need to see the statistical analysis of last night's game to get a better understanding of how the greatest team since sliced bread lost 42-14 in the 2nd round to a lowly team like Ridge Point. It's completely unthinkable. Something is amiss.
I am calling UIL for a do over. This is a mistake. No way Code Red is out of playoffs before Silsbee, WO-S, Newton, Crockett, Corrigan-Camden, Shelbyville, Lovelady, Centerville, Beckville, Normangee, Beaumont Legacy and Baytown Christian. And the same round as the lowly teams from 22-5A Nederland and PN-G along with the likes of CE King, Jasper, Coldspring, Hamshire-Fannett, Orangefield, Kirbyville, East Chambers, San Augustine, Iola, Chester and Calvert. How can this be?
Please someone enlighten me to this "happening" that took place last night. I am so confused, distraught and as far as I am concerned, the high school football season is officially over. May it rest in peace.

The Newton Eagles continue their Class 3A, Division II as they travel to Palestine to take on the Marlin Bulldogs in area round play.  The Eagles, champion of district 11-3A-II and 7-4 on the season, advanced with a 56-7 bi-district win over Buffalo last week. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs, the #2 seed out of District 10-3A-II who come into tonight's game with a 6-5 record, advanced to this round with a 22-0 bi-district win over Rio Vista.
The winner of this game will face the Franklin/Clifton winner.

The Kirbyville Wildcats continue their trek in the Class 3A, Division I playoffs as they travel to Huntsville to take on the West Trojans in area round action tonight.  The Wildcats, now 10-1 on the season, captured the 12-3A-I district championship and advanced with a 59-14 bi-district win over Kemp.  Meanwhile, the Trojans, the #2 seed out of District 9-3A-I who comes into tonight's game with a 10-1 record, reached this round with a 35-34 overtime bi-district win over Troy last week.
The winner of this game will face the Teague/Rockdale winner.
