1. USA qualifies 1st, but defending world champion Jordyn Wieber did not qualify for the all around as she was the 3rd highest qualifier on the US team and only the top 2 from each nation can qualify. BTW, USA had the 3 highest scores.  So everybody that competes in the all around, other than Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas of the US, will have qualified with a lower score than Wieber. Senior receivers Quinton Jacko (1st team all district, 466 yd, 5 TD in 2011), and Darion Cooper (2nd tream all district) will team with senior tight end Thomas Thibodeaux to form the Wildcat receiver squad.  They'll be operating behind an offensive line that includes returning starters senior tackle Jacob Keene (1st team all district), senior guard Cody Pipes (2nd team all district) and junior center Daylon Nichols.  They'll be joined by senior tackle Marcus Vidal. 2012 Defense Defense: 4-2-5 While the return of a veteran defense guarantees marked improvement, it appears that a new face could make the difference.  Neece is sure that with new defensive coordinator Kenny Washington, that the Wildcat defense will be schematically sound with a renewed emphasis on gang tackling.  Those that will be ready to put Coach Wshington's theories to practical use on the defensive line are returning starters Josh Breed, Willie Dodson (2nd team all district, 3 sacks, 8 tackles for loss in 2011), Jacob Keene (2nd team all district) and Marcus Vidal (2nd team all district).  Also contributing up front will be junior Philip Millan.  The linebacker corp, which will feature senior defensive captian Harrell Brooks (2nd team all district, 100 tackles in 2011), will also include Hughey and Kristian Kirbow.  Kirbyville will feature a very athletic secondary that will include strong safety Jacko (1st team linebacker in 2011, 50 tackles, 3 caused fumbles), free safety Sexton (2nd team defense, 87 tackles, 2 INT), cornerbacks Heywood and senior Darion Cooper (57 tackles in 2011).  They will be joined by junior Brandon Rodriguez. 2012 Special Teams Senior Rafael Briz will handle the place kicking chores while Haywood will do the punting.  Haywood will also team with Jacko and Sexton as the primary kick returners.  Neece did note that he will look to see improvement in both the kickoff and punt coverage teams this year. 2012 Key Games Kirbyville starts off the season a day earlier than mosst as they will take on Cleveland at Provost-Umphrey Stadium at Lamar on August 30th.  The Wildcats will host Anahuac in their 10-2A-I district opener on September 28th with a game at rival Newton on October 5th.  Another big game with East Chambers looms on October 19th with the district finale at Warren on November 9th. 21. Is the #2 ranking by DCTF and FNF accurate?  Well, will have to wait 'til about Christmas time to determine that. Is there enough on this roster coming back to make a legitimate argument that they deserve that ranking?  OH YEAH!  A good leader and talented QB in D.J. Dean, two 1,000 yard rushers in Kevin Shorter and Brandon Johnson and most of the starters back from a defense that surrendered just 12 points a game last year.  No, they are not overrated.

ALL DAY) link=topic=101232.msg1239977#msg1239977 date=1343273425] The crazy yet funny thing is, that no matter what happens (lets say PAM went to and won state in 2011) most people on this board would have that "YEAH, BUT" symdrome. SOME of you all (and you ALL know who you are) just do NOT want see PAM succeed. You would rather say "PAM went 13-2 last season BUT oh don't u remember when there was that fight/mugging after the WB game?" The hatred of the city of Port Arthur and PAM is ever evident in 75% of you're posts (even some Admins/Moderators) fail to mention or even KNOW that PAM was was STACKED with JUNIORS last season. Most (even Mods/Admins) don't know that the PAM Secondary that got them DEEP into the P.O.'s are ALL back this season, and only one of them were starters in the beginning of the season.so with that being said....keep waiting for PAM to fail  and you're going to be in for a VERY long 2012 season.....THAT IS ALL!!!
I've tried to explain some of that to people. Some people dont like to see or hear the truth. Oh well, Titans will have to show em yet again for a 3rd str8 year. notice every year they have gotten better since Harrison has been there. Numbers dont lie.
BG I've also noticed how when a true PAM fan backs up a statement with facts and stats they get get on "HUSH-MOUTH" and keep it moving.
I've noticed that alot.  ;)
Well here are some facts.  Pretty much everything that is said by Ghost I pretty much agreed with and noted in the preview.  They were young on defense and have 7 starters by Coach Harrison's count coming back. Then I read this: "Most (even Mods/Admins) don't know that the PAM Secondary that got them DEEP into the P.O.'s are ALL back this season." The Titans got into the playoffs DESPITE the play of their secondary in the playoffs.  They gave up 326 yards and 4 passing TDs to South Houston in their bi-district game and then another 311 yards and 3 passing TDs in their narrow area victory over Clear Springs.  Yes, they then gave up only 68 to Memorial, 54 to La Porte, who are both running teams who ran the ball in those 2 games 39 and 40 times respectively.  And against Steele they only gave up 109 passing yards, but when you run for over 400 yards, you don't need to pass too much. As to everyone from the secondary returning, I think you are forgetting about Jaylon Howard, who graduated last year.  Some folks around here think he was decent.
