Bobkat, I mean no offense by this, but as I have commented negatively on other sub varsity threads in the forum, I must do so in this thread as well or risk being accused of "abusing" my "great power" simply because a WO-S entity is involved. So here goes. Bobkat? A thread about a 7th grade game, really?

Who is the 4th team in Playoffs? NED or Central
WOSgrad replied to fireinthehole's topic in High School Football
There are SEVERAL threads about this. smh, I build it but they never come. -
Crosby will be the DII #1 seed. BH will be DII #2.

Well, even though he made pains in his original post to point out the that his post was from hearsay, oldschool2's subsequent posts in this thread make it pretty obvious that he has adopted that hearsay as his own view. Of course, no one should be surprised as this is the second week in a row that oldschool2 has been dismissive of what a scoreboard showed in a Liberty football game. I will speak only for myself as a Mustang alum and fan to the following. If West Orange-Stark can be so "exposed" as oldschool2 alleges that they were on Friday night and still come away with a 25 point win as they also did on Friday for seven more games this season, I will be estatic!
-
The ladies were able to squeeze one in.
-
Thanks to West Brook, Dayton, Hardin-Jefferson, Deweyville, Hull-Daisetta and Evadale for their schedules, but we need plenty more for a season that starts for some on Friday.
-
I, too, am surprised that Johnston is not on more of these lists.

Yes. Assuming that District 19-5A uses net points as a second tie breaker, that tie breaker would come into effect as the three teams are each 1-1 in head to head play if Georgetown loses to Connally. Under that tie breaker, assuming an 18 point margin of victory cap, would be Rouse +8 (+18 for a 23 pt win over Georgetown and -10 for a 10 point loss to Hutto), Hutto +7 (+10 for a 10 point win over Rouse and -3 for a 3 point loss to Georgeown) and Georgetown -15 (+3 for a 3 point win over Hutto and -18 for a 23 point loss to Rouse). That would give Rouse and Hutto the final 2 spots out 19-5A. As both Rouse and Connally have larger ADMs than Cedar Park, that would push CP to DII.
-
Individual districts decide their tiebreakers, but most, if not all, settle ties between 2 teams on the head to head result.

I don't think Stallworth is puny. But I can bet you that Westerberg does. -

They shouldn't see Katy for a while. West Brook is in Region II this year and next so even if they are in the same division as Katy, they wouldn't see them until the state championship game as Katy is in Region III.

22-5A vs 21-5A bidistrict venue prediction
WOSgrad replied to Indianforever's topic in High School Football
My only explanation would be this: Westerberg likes BIG SHINY things! At Allen, he'd have gladly taken taken a game at AT&T even if it meant playing an Arlington team there. So why would he settle for a puny high school stadium when he can stand on the grand stage of a college stadium (yes, I know it as not that grand of a stage, but indulge me)? This coupled with the fact that it also well known that the Barbers Hill super also has a case of the silver spoon syndrome may account for this. -

Here is how I figured it. If Woodville and Kirbyville win. That will force a 3 way tie for 2nd with Coldspring, Buna and Kirbyville all being at 4-2. All teams will have beaten each other once and lost to each other. Now under the points, Coldspring currently sits at +7 (12 point win over Kirbyville, 5 point loss to Buna), Buna sits at +5 (5 point win over Coldspring) and Kirbyville at -12 (12 point loss to Coldspring). You are correct that by the margins of victory if Kirbyville beats Buna by 20 or more that they can claim the #2 seed as they would sit at +8, Coldspring +7 and Buna -15 and I need to edit mine to reflect that. I must confess, though, that I have not seen the scenario in which a Kirbyville win by 12 would get them the #2 seed. If you could pm me with those calculations, I would appreciate it.

22-5A vs 21-5A bidistrict venue prediction
WOSgrad replied to Indianforever's topic in High School Football
The sole problem I see with the Butch is that we know that West Brook will be hosting its bi-district game there. Of course, there are plenty of time slots around it, but that needs to be kept in mind. -
