He left for a couple of years to be HC at Palestine and another 1 or 2 as Mark Foreman's DC at Huntsville. But other than that, yes.

There is no UIL rule that dictates that. They did not adopt NCAA rules regarding any action subsequent to the ejection from the game. How much time, if any, is missed by the player ejected is determined by the DEC.

I only hope that the lack of talk out of Hardin County about this game does not translate into a poor showing in the visitor stands tonight. No, Lumberton won't be going to the playoffs this year, but there are still games to be played and young men (as well as women when you talk about all of the auxiliary components like band, cheerleaders and drill team) to be supported.

Unfortunately, SETXsports will be unable to broadcast tonight's game with Trinity. Scott Loar, Voice of the Wildcats, has learned of a death in his family which will require him to be out of town. SETXsports extends prayers to Scott's family in this time of sorrow and apologizes to the Kirbyville fans for any inconvenience.

The Kingwood/Sterling game will be a freebie in the damned pick 'ems since it was played on Thursday instead of Friday! Geeez!

From what I can gather right now. Here is how it stands: Kingwood, Sterling, Channelview and Summer Creek are all tied for 3rd at 3-3 with the games involving these teams being Sterling/Channelview, North Shore/Summer Creek and Kingwood/C.E. King The winner of the Sterling/Channelview game will get a spot. Sterling could still get a spot if it loses to Channelview if Kingwood loses. Channelview could still get a spot if it loses if Summer Creek loses. Kingwood earns a spot with a win and so does Summer Creek. It appears the only way that Kingwood wouldn't get a spot is if they lose to C.E. King, Summer Creek wins and Baytown Sterling loses.

I think the "14" and "16" in the original post were reversed (based upon a subsequent post).

I've exchanged messages with Panther. He is doing fine. He is around just not posting that much this week, but he will be full throat in West Orange tomorrow night.

As the current standings sit, Cedar Park (1949) and Pflugerville Connally (1977) would be the DI reps out of 19-5A. It appears that the only way that CP won't be in DI is if Leander Rouse (2006) can nudge out Hutto (1773.5) or Georgetown (1876) for the 4th spot. If Elgin beats Rouse tomorrow that appears to lock CP into DI.
