Horrible way to do things with the stakes so high. With 4 teams in the playoffs in Round 1 the UIL ought to let the higher seed dictate a 1 game or a series. After the first round then the flip can come in.
 
Kolek's little brother is also a very good pitcher. Saw them play once and he pitched. Their hitting and defense will come and go as will many high school teams.
 
On the mound they are a beast of a draw.

Bridge City player Ashton Hunter got ejected for arguing with the ump over strikes and balls after he got rung up on a called third strike that he did not like then threw his helmet. A few innings earlier in the game another Bridge City player came close to being ejected because of the same thing. The ump was not on a power trip. Why is that the first thing people say when a player gets ejected.

Congrats to BC coach Chad Landry as he picked up career win #200 tonite with the 2-1 victory over Silsbee! Great milestone with many more to come.

Dear Mike,
As you travel to your first civilized sporting event this year to broadcast from the diamond here are some new tips take from the caveman like hardwood to our more regal diamond:
 
1, If a batter reaches the first bag, that is a single. The second bag would be considered a double with the third being a triple.
2. If a batter touches all bases in on at bat because the baseball flies over the fence, this is a home run. Please put some extra push in your voice when this happens. A call like "YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOOOOOOOOOOARRRRRRRD. YES!!!," would be most exciting.
3. It is way to early to continue this joke, I am going back to bed but please call for more insight or simply message myself or adminbaberuth for further instructions.

Unless somebody was there and witnessed it that's hard to believe. Coaches usually are all connected in some way and will trade throughout the playoffs. A team from another region would want to get stuff from a team very familiar with an upcoming opponent, a district rival. Even if a coach went out of his way to give info to another team who cares? Scouting reports don't win games.

I know of one NCAA team last year that sent every piece of scouting info they had to an arch rival. Why? Because if their arch rival won the series against another Conference team the team sending the reports got in the tournament. Their rival didn't ask for it either. It was just sent. This is baseball. It's actually pretty common.

Teams that make deep runs develop rivals that don't want to see their success. I'm sure teams like Moody, Calallen and Brenham have had plenty of this happen to them.

and details on what teams are coming and a bracket yet?  Not going to be able to make the tournament that BC is in and I want to go watch some good ball :D
