It's playoff time as the #11 state ranked Silsbee Tigers take on the Shepherd Pirates in a 1 game winner advances Region III Class 3A Bi-District playoff TONIGHT, 7pm in Jasper. Silsbee (17-6-1) is the #2 seed out of 21-3A while Shepherd (10-13) is the #3 seed out of 22-3A. The winner of tonight's game will advance to the Area round to take on the winner of Columbia and Houston Scarborough.

 

Our broadcast will start with pregame show at 6:50pm with first pitch to follow at 7pm.

Having a one gamer is great for Shepherd. They will be a tough out for anyone as long as they throw one of the Kolek brothers. Can they put any runs on the board is the big question? I will say Shepherd will scratch a run out and Tyler throws a gem and they advance.

Was wondering that as well...saw them play in the Kountze tourney early in the year and they couldn't hit the ball, booted routine grounders, and made some bone head base running mistakes...maybe that wasn't just early season rust...

Lumberton played them the past two years facing Tyler both times. This year, they looked very good and Tyler was dead on. Last year they looked bad, no defense, no catcher, lumberton scored 11 runs on two hits. Depends on what team shows up.
