A guy like Blake Morrison would be a great fit in my opinion. Ran similar offense/defense at coldspring and Dibol, coached in a state championship, guy like that would be ideal. Think they should go after him.

Not a huge surprise. Going home means a lot. A year after Nederland went to state Coach Stone left to coach us at PN-G. Home is where the heart is.

Agree Crosby should be the district favorite in 21-5A with all of the returners, but it won't be a cake walk.  KWP is always tough and Barbers Hill returns all but 3 starters and 4/3 all dist/all Houston. Dayton brings back a very good pitcher, 21-5A swept 22-5A last year in the 1st round  which is tough to do,22-5A has always been baseball rich, 21-5A will be a tough district again and will be tough for the next couple of seasons with the strong under-classman,  Pre season rankings are there just to get poeple talking, they mean nothing,

No, many, many coaches could not have made the playoffs 4 years in a row (and not one monkey could have either). I have no dog in the hunt personally, but your statement is wrong. By saying that you show everyone you do not understand how difficult coaching is. This puts your previous postings in the proper perspective.

I am not putting much in these rankings. In 3A Kountze beat a few of the teams ranked and only lost 1 but I guess THSB thought Franklin was the entire Kountze team! It's not where you start but where you finish and I look for 23-3A to represent well in the playoffs

KWP ranked 17th in 5A, 8 returners, Barbers Hill mentioned in the next 10 returning entire pitching staff minus one and 4 every inning starters that were all Dist,.   Goose Creek was mentioned in the next 10 to round out  teams for 21 and 22 5A.   Crosby not mentioned but has everyone back from a good season and good team   College Station ranked #1 has (3 D1 pitchers,TCU,Texas A&M,and Florida)  , Brenham ranked 6th., not where you start, will see in May how good these predictions are.

Nederland Babe Ruth League has two separate divisions. The prep division is for 13 year olds only. It is a transition division from smaller little league fields to the larger regulation diamond. The major division is for 14/15 year olds. We keep the 13 year olds separate from the older kids as there is quite a physical difference in these ages and most of the 14 and 15 year olds are playing high school ball as well.

Coming from PN-G we were always amped up for Nederland and LC-M. Much different rivalries though. MCM against Nederland was a lot of talking but also a ton of respect because we knew each other so well. LC-M was just pure hate lol.

Did u put it a good word for me, swampdude? I'm not a coach, but thru the years I correctly predict run vs pass plays for Vidor at about a 98% clip!

Fox you never know in this game what can happen. Alot changes in one year. BC has pitching and plenty of it So does LCM. I don't know where your getting they dont. Again I say can't go by last year. Kids who work change ALOT in one year. As far as OF I never count them out. You just never know what teams have coming back until they start playing.

This district was the best in the state last year IMO and then what happens? They throw LCM in the mix, its gonna be fun to watch :)

Fox your right BC don't have what they had last year they have graduated but have since reloaded I'm sure. WOS will be good also as so will LCM. But so will HJ and OF. In this game you can't sleep on anyone. I'm just happy the see the baseball thread starting to come alive.
