In 1996 I was working in Stavanger Norway and I flew 4,846 miles to Houston, then drove 265 miles to Ft Worth, picking up my son in Huntsville on the way, to see Tenaha play Windthorst for the Class A championship game. Then on Monday, I returned to Norway. 
In 1998, I flew from Dammam Saudi Arabia, 7,927 miles, to see Tenaha play Wheeler for the Class A Championship game in Ft Worth.

Chilton is just not very good. 
Tenaha is much improved from last season.   That being said I do not believe that they can match up well with Mart.  Tenaha plays loose, mart is a machine.   As a Tenaha fan I am very happy with the direction that the program is headed.  Weve had 4 different head coaches at the start of the last 4 years.  That takes a toll on a program.   Very fine group of athletes on the way in Tenaha.   We will be much better in the near future.   Just my humble opinion but we are not quite there yet.

Tenaha's front 7 is anchored by Junior 6'2" 210 pound linebacker Jeremy Patton.   He holds offers from Oklahoma State, Kansas, Baylor, and TCU.  
 
CHILTON AINT BULLDOZING NOTHING. 

Well, I guess this will be my last post as a proud parent of a Pirate football player...next year I'll just be a fan. I'm blessed that I was able to hold my son on the 3yd line as the pain of his first, true broken heart sank in. Yep, just like that...It's over. I'm so proud of these kids for what they worked their tails off to accomplish this year. It was the pleasure of my life to watch them work, compete and grow into an unbelievable young men. 
I love ya J-Bo #6.

Tenaha is the only 2A D2 team I’ve seen that is remotely comparable to Mart athletically. If DV gets past Chilton (which i think they will) they won’t be a pushover for the Tigers. They’re physical and grind on you. Slow down the game with 4 yards and a cloud of dust approach. To compete with Tenaha either of these teams will have to limit the big plays. 17 yard first downs are ok but when they end up going for 67 yard TD’s.... it’ll be a long night. 

Bremond couldn't stop the thunder and lightening of the 5 different running backs Tenaha put on the field. The only thing that has stopped Tenaha is turnovers which led directly to their 2 losses. The Tigers are loaded, like never before, at the skilled positions. 

But we did make it longer than Jasper.! 💨🏘

To the idiot Silsbee people on social media saying stupid stuff like ‘I told you, Bro.  Smith can’t coach’ .  You realize Carthage has been #1 in the state all season.  This type of lopsided loss was inevitable.  But so much negativity is spewed from that town even during successful years, again, I can never wrap my head around the mentality. 
 
Congrats on an excellent season, Tigers.
