I’m late to this comment but CH didn’t have any issues with Hardin.

I’d like to comment on this Mitchell stuff and to be completely transparent- Mitchell coached me early in his career. This dude got the most out of my crappy team as possible. You either play hard or don’t play for him. If Mitchell had the cats that roll through HJ, Silsbee, EC, etc then his record would be incredible. The big difference in Mitchell and the others mentioned is Mitchell developed a D1 player. He didn’t go out and find one to bring to his school or coach at a basketball proven school. This dude is winning in lumberton, America and is LOYAL! You know how many times I tried to recruit him to a school I was coaching at so he can help my team win. He will not leave. More importantly than basketball, He helped me grow off of the court more than he did on the court. I still call Mitchell and ask for advice in life. The slander around him is ridiculous. For Bullets there is no changing your mind. You continue to have a man crush on Clay over there at HJ and just quit worrying about Mitchell. Dude swims around your dome constantly. I’m willing to bet Mitchell could cure cancer and bullets would be like “I mean he only did ONE good thing!” What about Alzheimer’s??

Which elite coaches in SETX make a playoff run without studs?

Guys this whole Mitchell thing is ridiculous. I was on staff with him in little ole Deweyville. Single handily turned a girls program around there and made them super competitive- maybe 17-18 wins? I don’t exactly remember. He coaches hard and makes his players better. To say he’s carried by Brock is so dumb. Brock is really good. I watched him his junior year and thought that there was absolutely no way he was a D1 player and then he was Developed, at least in part, by Mitchell. two years under 15 wins and that was his 2nd And 3rd year at lumberton. He’s right at .500 during his career and right under .500 at lumberton. Lumberton plays so dang hard. Those kids are always prepared. Most of the time out matched- and most of the time in the game. Defensively, Mitchell is in the elite of coaches in SETX. Y’all just don’t like him because he makes you uncomfortable because he coaches so damn hard.
