Yall tell Hefner to just play the game and try to have fun and ignore the grownups.

I KNEW there was going to be comments about points (or lack thereof) in this thread by a certain poster.   Because to the casual observer, that’s all they look at.  Ironically, I woke up this morning and saw on my FB feed one of my friends from the Brook raving about Hefner.   Last night was the first time he’d seen him play and was extremely impressed.  On a night he had but 7 points.   Why?  Because he’s been around the game for over 40 years and realizes that scoring is only ONE of many facets to the game.  And Mamba will tell you the same thing - often the best PLAYERS don’t score the most points...

I normally really don’t do this but just in case it was for me!! First off I bleed maroon and white die hard tiger fan you even can find me in trophy case as All-State 94-95 year. I try not to hate “as some would call it” but if someone doesn’t agree or speak how they feel which might be different from ones other opinion we often call that hate. I spend a lot of my time housing kids,coaching kids, feeding kids in the summer all SILSBEE KIDS... I also support a lot of kids wishing them well to chase the dream I once had to play college ball and get that awesome education. If you noticed I said nothing about the pros because if you get a free education you won the game and all the hours you put in all the summer traveling paid off. Basketball owes me nothing because I used it to the end to get where I’m at. I was only stating about the YMBL because I was told this and my opinion was asked about the tournament. I do believe if all the local teams played it could get back to where it once was which was a big tournament for the GOLDEN TRIANGLE!!! And last but not least no hate at all I have a SON that plays for The team he was one of two freshmen on the team last year so if you paid enough attention to me and went out to trophy case you should be able to figure out who I am if you even care so you would know I’m not a HATER!!!

Whitmire is a very underrated player. 

and this is why he is getting lot's of offers. No academic issues.

Not only is this the most points I've seen them score in a few years, the Bobcats finish with 51 rebounds and 21 assists which I'm sure is the most they've had in several years.  Sunny Hardy has done a heckuva job with those boys and brought them a long way in a short amount of time.

I agree.  The facts are as they are and those facts are that Tavian Mayfield is no longer a Nederland Bulldog and is now a Legacy Christian Warrior.  As both schools are now in the midst of district play, anything other than those facts are completely irrelevant as to both the schools and Tavian.

There is one other way that a student can live with a guardian and not have to sit out a year of Varsity in UIL . An international student can apply for a Parent Residence Waiver. Everyone is just reading the basic rules of eligibility...need to dig deeper

I would say the district is pretty wide open. Png is the favorite but after that anybody can win. Not see lumberton play this year. I would say they are much improved.

The fact they play year round together. Must of them already know there role on the team.
