Not what I have been told. He will battle a transfer in from San Antonio that is the real deal. Word is he will be starting QB. The West Brook transfer is not eligible to play till Nov. 6 but even if he was, it's the SA players job to lose.

According to Coach Smalley, he told me it will be very close but expects to be moved up to 4A next alignment.

That will never happen. If I know Brad, he's not looking to move down a classification, but possibly move up.

Tried to do that back in the basketball season. Couldn't figure out how to do it. Todd always took care of that.

I think there is a reason why he is not employed by any school district. At least, I don't think he is.

Is he certified? I don't think a school district the size of Orangefield would hire anyone who wasn't certified. Just doesn't fit the budget.

That's why we have multiple forums.

We have a forum for this. I will move it to proper forum.

As far as I know, it's never been a "senior only" award. Been years where the finalists were all seniors, but all classifications are eligible. Looking at some finalists (not necessarily winners) in the 1990's, there were some underclassmen nominated. I know since I have been a voter (2012) all classes are eligible.

Good question since the job just recently opened. For those in the dark, Coach Jake McDonald has taken the head coaching job at 5A Montgomery HS. Congrats and good luck Jake!!

I assume that Kountze and Kirbyville split in district?

We are going to Friday night's game. Garcia is starting for the Stros.

You just have to come to the understanding that spidersal is a "glass half empty" kind of guy no matter what the situation is. Got to be miserable living that way.

I agree. Personally, they shouldn't do a team at all.

It's only for schools that are coached by a coach who is a member of THSCA. Not all coaches are members.

Go for it Aaron

Lost what?

Local media. There are 12-15 of us that vote each year. I have been a voter since 2012.

I think the confusion is a media source started listing the winners for the year in which it was awarded and not the season for which it was played. It's 2023 and this year's award is for the season of 2022. Some will list it as 2023 winner, some 2022.

Heckaman and Foster should be listed for 2022 and not 2021. Ceasar and Bell were the winners for 2021. Yowman and Brown were the winners in 2020. That would give Silsbee with 6 winners going into this years WRS.

NO DOUBT!! She is as good as there has ever been in women's college basketball.

That's what I saw. South Florida just offered yesterday. I speak to Dre'lon's dad about once a week. He and I are good friends. He keeps me informed on a weekly basis. As always Ash, you are spot on with your post.

I went to bed early. Turned it off in the 7th

and that would be?
