  1. No live stream of this game but 92.5 FM will carry the game on radio.
  2. Figured it was ok to mention in this thread.
  3. Will find out today.
  4. Is this week 5?
  5. I finished -150 on the games listed. Overall I finished +40
  6. Silsbee
  7. That's a Silsbee dude. Great athlete.
  8. Back to Silsbee vs. Nederland
  9. I agree. I only consider going to state as the championship game in football. Now in basketball and baseball most consider going to state is making it to state tourney, which includes the semifinal. As for records go, Silsbee is 3-0 vs. WO-S in the playoffs.
  10. I wouldn't call losing 26-12 a "slaughter". Particularly when Cview scored that final TD with just a couple of minutes left. Was just a one possession game until that score.
  11. Played 4 years at University of Houston. Started a year, maybe two, was mostly back up but got ample playing time.
  12. Going to be on the sidelines for this one. Want to see New Waverly up close.
  13. 48-44 was the final. McGuire had 600 all purpose yards (rushing, receiving, returns) His rushing total was 454. Spell lit up Silsbee that night thru the air. Just wasn't quite enough. These two teams ended up playing each other again that season in the playoffs. Silsbee had lost McGuire the week before in the final regular season game against Jasper with an injury. Most folks thought Silsbee had no chance of beating Nederland without him due to the fact he did so much in the first game and Silsbee needed every yard and point that he contributed. Silsbee played zone coverage in that first game and Spell picked the Tigers apart. In the playoff game Silsbee decided to go man and blitz the majority of the time. Result was 10 sacks of the QB, with many hurried throws. Silsbee won 34-7. Also, the Tigers moved FB Stanley Rhone to the tailback spot in place of McGuire and he rushed for 190 yards in the game with 3 TD's. Making that change defensively was the difference.
  14. Lumberton never was in the top 10.
  15. District play actually starts this week for 8-5A DI (Goose Creek Memorial, Baytown Lee, Baytown Sterling, Crosby, Kingwood Park, La Porte, Barbers Hill, Porter, Port Arthur Memorial) Todd was Da Man!!
  16. When I post these rankings topics each week, I always reference the districts that we cover to see what "locals" we have in the rankings.
  17. Since you asked. In the past, Todd and I always had games in the pickems that had both teams in our coverage area. Those games took priority over games that had only one team in our coverage area. Less criticism that way. It's your gig, do as you please.
  18. Centerville is in a district that we cover. Bellville isn't. 2-2A DI (Centerville, Corrigan-Camden, Groveton, Jewett Leon, Normangee, West Hardin)
  19. Why is 3/4 of his posts threads? There is a forum policy here about flooding a forum.
  20. Ouch!! That cuts deep! But on the money.
  21. [Hidden Content] Local teams in this week's rankings: 6A #2 North Shore #10 Atascocita 5A DI #6 PA Memorial 4A DI #8 Little Cypress-Mauriceville 4A DII #4 West Orange-Stark #9 Silsbee 3A DII #5 Newton #9 New Waverly 2A DI #1 Timpson #9 Centerville 2A DII #9 Tenaha
  22. Correct. And if you have a monster at that nose guard position, it allows those speedy athletic linebackers to wreck shop. I love the 50 defense. Always have and always will.
  23. I'm just saying it's too early to make any call. If this Mustang defense ends up giving up an average of 20 points or more this season, then the change to 4-2-5 can definitely be questioned. I think some folks are going to realize just how good this LC-M team will be come playoff time.
  24. Cha Ching +100 Cha Ching +100 Womp womp -110 Cha Ching Cha Ching +200 Womp womp womp womp -220 +70 so far
  25. I didn't watch the game. I did check to see what the final score was since I took the under.
