SETXsports is in talks with Orange County teams to broadcast their games. It's my understanding they already have the go ahead for WO-S and Bridge City.

The RB Reeves is a good one. He impressed me as a soph. last year.

It's funny you bring that up. I have known some folks who have parked over there at Chili's for the game.

I had heard that the implication was they dis enrolled a few students before snapshot then re-enrolled them. Regardless, the UIL really had no other choice but to ban them from postseason. I also think the UIL suspects there was intent on Alto's part.

Just took a look back during the time span you are speaking of. Jasper never played Houston Madison in non district or playoffs. (couldn't have never played Madison in playoffs since they were in different classifications)

Jasper hasn't played Houston Madison. At least not while Vince Young was there. Jasper did have a couple of battles with FB Willowridge that had Thurman Thomas. I attended those games.

This is what I always heard. Even talking with some coaches and admins it was not the Westend that was fighting total consolidation.

1998 was when all classifications sent 3 teams.

I prefer it when only 2 teams went. I was ok with 3 with the district champ receiving a bye. Never been fond of 4 going to playoffs but it is what it is. My main reason for not liking 4 is when 4 teams go out of a 4 or 5 team district. I think you should have at minimum 6 or more teams in a district if you are going to send 4. Or at least make the 4-5 team districts play each other twice for district play. Also, I think all district champs in all classifications should host 1st round games. A little incentive to win a district title.
