I agree. Penalties were a problem tonight. Got to clean that up going forward.

I read where they will still play the district schedule, just not play in playoffs. Parents of the players on the team are not happy with the decision by Duncanville ISD to opt out of playoffs. Think this is not over yet.

I know a certain local coach who will be pretty torn about this match up. 😉

Smithville Beat Gatesville 24-14. Played Smithville a few years ago at Woodforest Bank Stadium in The Woodlands.

Weather was pretty bad and certainly not good for any kind of passing game. This helped Columbia defense greatly. But Silsbee's run game is pretty tough as well. Tigers defense played very well except for the missed tackle that resulted in the 65 yard TD run. All in all, a good win and move on to the next round.

Dayton lost.

Just for clarification purposes. Final score was Brenham 42, Dayton 28. The bot got hung up on an incorrect post of the final.
