I did not say Silsbee could not beat WB and/or Memorial... But I think WB would win and maybe Memorial right now... Both teams are playing well now and Brook is playing way better since getting the football boys. Again, Silsbee has a great team this year but that doesn't change the fact that the talent gap is enormous between 3A and 5A... Like I have said before, Silsbee will not play against any McDonalds All Americans or any of the top 100 kids in the nation in 3A... But those kids are there in the 5A and 4A programs! I know you didn't say the Tigers couldn't win, but you are picking West Brook to win and PAM would win if them and the Tigers were to play. I disagree with those picks, I think Silsbee is better, this year. I watched WB at the YMBL with their football players, I still think Silsbee takes them. We will see on Jan. 2 when the Tigers come visit the Bruins. Maybe Silsbee and PAM can schedule a warmup game at the end of district play, providing Memorial has the luxury to do so.

Hey, I am all for Pic coming back, but I like Mike, let him stay. As for Coop, my wife says he needs to stay right where he's at. She's begginning to think he knows more about the weather than her hero Bostwick. I told her she was dilusional. ;D

Silsbee has been playing high quality basketball long before they dropped down to 3A 5 years ago. The Tigers have a very good tradition on the court, many playoff appearances and championships(just not the state kind, yet ) I too agree that Silsbee could not compete on a regular basis to the top 5A schools and some of the 4A's. This year, Silsbee has a very good team, one that I think will make it back to Austin and play for the state championship. We are not going to have teams every year like this one, but Silsbee has a very well established program and with the fact that we are 3A, I believe the Tigers will compete on the state level for many years to come. Short, I have seen West Brook and Memorial play this year along with seeing my Tigers several times. Silsbee will beat WB at the Brook and would beat the Titans if they were on the schedule. Silsbee is the better team in regards to those schools.

First off, I would like to apologize for not getting the broadcast on last night. Sometimes we run into some unforseen glitches that we just could not overcome last night. We'll try and get back out to Kountze again soon and I am sure we will have the kinks with the school's wireless system worked out by then. That was the 4th time I have seen Kountze play this season. It is quite obvious to me not only do they miss Roman, but they are missing Devin Bray's presence inside also. This is about as small a Kountze team that I have seen in a while. Williams does fairly well inside, but he just can't match up to bigger players. McDaniel and Whisenunt are good shooters, but the Lions will need Walker to be back on his game when he comes back. The thing is, they will have to count on Roman playing more inside, which really takes away from what he does best. Speaking of Brey, he was in attendance at last night's game. That was my first look at HD. They are a pretty fair team, real scrappy. They have to do a better job of protecting the ball. They made several ill-advised passes. Also, they need to be more patient on the offensive end. I think if they worked the ball more, things could have turned out differently last night. They seemed to be always in a rush when they were on offense. The Bobcats should do well in their district.

I take offense to that.... Pic, trust me, you are not one of the sports guys being talked about. I wish you were still doing the sports.

It's not us who decides what games gets taped. That is up to the video company that decides what games are done. We just allow them to be played here on the site.

Actually Lazeek, whoever is the runner up to our district, will face Navasota in the second round, the area round. Of course, if our runner up wins their first round game. So if HJ finish as runner up they will have to play Navasota for the third straight year in the playoff. And Navasota have to win thier district too. Navasota will win their district. They will get a first round bye and await the winner between 21-3A runner up and 22-3A third place. As for HJ, what place they finish(1st,2nd, or 3rd) remains to be seen.

I think I can speak for the owner in that this site was not created just for people to throw insults and remain anonomous. That's what has led to the demise of our competitor sites. This site is far more than that. If you can't realize that, you're here for the wrong reasons.

I do not know if this would classify as my "fondest" memory, but me broadcasting the Silsbee-WOS overtime game was definetly one that I will not forget for many reasons. Other than what happened on the field, I personally will remember this game for what happened to me at halftime. Needless to say, I toughed it out in the second half, did the game one-legged, and the next Monday had surgery on my injured foot. What I will do to broadcast Tiger football here on our site. ;D BTW, I still haven't recieved any money to cover my medical bills that Dan Ray promised me. I guess with this bus issue going on, I'll never see that money. > ;D

I was thinking the same thing, Dicky. Maybe k9 is just soooo excited that he is confused to the difference of a verbal and a letter of intent.

Silsbee will battle WOS for the district title. With the quality players that are coming back and the game being in Tiger Stadium, Silsbee has a great chance to end the Mustangs streak. One things for sure, Silsbee will have the best player in the district running things for them. That's always a plus.

Here is how Region 3 class 3A bracket will be: First round; R17 T18 W20 bye R19 T20 W18 bye R21 T22 W24 bye R23 T24 W22 bye T17 R18 W19 bye T19 R20 W17 bye T21 R22 W23 Bye T23 R24 W21 bye Note, there is no district 23. So not only will the winner of district 24 get a bye, but the runnerup and third place teams from district 24 will get a bye also. The winner of the game between district 21 third place and district 22 runnerup, will advance to the third round via a bye from district 23. The winner of district 21 will play the runner up of district 24 in the second round and the winner of district 22 will play the third place team from district 24 in the second round. Whoever ends up being district 21 runner up(my prediction is Hardin-Jefferson) and they win their first round game, they will most likely face Navasota in the second round. Navasota should win district 24. Whoever takes third in 21-3A, if they win their first round game, they would advance to the third round to face Silsbee, who I am predicting to be district 21-3A champ and win their second round game.
