That's right fans, Setxsports will be bringing you LIVE, YMBL basketball tomorrow. Our broadcast schedule will start at 8am( will need some coffee fellows ) as the Beaumont Ozen Panthers will take on fellow district mate the Vidor Pirates. Then we will bring you West Brook vs. the winner of North Shore/Walker-NOLA at 11am. Following that game we will broadcast the 12:30 game which will have the Nederland Bulldogs, straight off their double overtime upset over defending 4A state champs Dallas South Oak Cliff, against Harker Heights. Later that day, we will pick up coverage of the YMBL with the two semifinals starting at 6:30pm then the next at 8pm. Setxsports will also broadcast the YMBL final, which is Saturday at 3:30pm. All of these games will be played at the Montagne Center. So start your morning with some high school basketball, YMBL style, right here at Setxsports.com, your source for sports in Southeast Texas.

Also, these times were about an hour delayed due to weather. On top of that, the very first game went to double overtime, so that puts the game times back some more. I'll bet the North Shore-Walker game doesn't start till 9.

Any word yet on the Central-Westbury Christian game? It should have started after the Ned-SOC game.

Guys, I will put up a thread tonight showing what games tomorrow I will be broadcasting at the Montagne. I plan on doing at least 5 games tomorrow so stay tuned to which ones I'll be doing. I'll wait to see who wins todays games then make my choices. All will involve a local team.

Very few players that showed up???? What the??? Were they suppose to find their own transportation down here? Don't they travel as a team? Actually, this really doesn't suprise me. :

I am not sure I understand the question. Are you asking what player in the '90's would be the best coach now? Or, what players in the '90's would be the best for someone to coach?

mffl, I know there will be more than 1500 PEOPLE there. I am expecting more than 6,000. But what I was talking about was having at least 1500 STUDENTS attend the game and be loud and racous. That's what this program has lacked as far as home attendance is concerned. We lead the league in home attendance every year but I would bet 90% of that is former students and just Joe Public. My guess would be that no more than 250 students attend home games on a regular basis. That's no better than what the other SLC schools do. I have been a season ticket holder going on 11 years now and have taken both my son's (17 and 14 ) to many a game. The one thing they seem to always point out is "where are the students?" Now take in mind that they have also attended their fair share of Aggie basketball games too and are a little spoiled in the sense. But the fact remains, Lamar has to get more students involved than what they have had in the past.

I am the broadcaster for Silsbee basketball and I am sorry to say that I will not make the trip to Ft. Worth. Looks like I'll be doing some YMBL games this weekend, haven't finalized anything just yet. I will pickup the Tigers when they come back next week when the travel up to Jasper to take on the Bulldogs Friday, Dec. 19. From there on out I will be broadcasting every Silsbee game that my work schedule will allow. Should be more than 80% of their games left that I will be able to broadcast.

If we beat Tech, they won't come back regardless of how many is in attendance. You are right though, there should be more emphasis out in the public about this game. A few billboards and some TV spots should be the least Lamar should be doing. I haven't seen anything like that, yet. But, with that said, I will be highly disappointed if there is not at least 1500 or more students in attendance. They are the ones who needs to step up and come in masses. That is what Lamar has lacked over the last few years, great student support at the games.

wow that is crazy........ things are looking good for Silsbee but i took a look at Lubbock Estacado and they seem to be a good team they where 4a last year and went deep into the play-offs but i think Silsbee would match up good with them cause they are fast and like to shoot the outside shot i dont think they have very tall guys but i might be wrong......... ARGYLE will be the team to beat they are in REG.2 Wrong CATMAN, Silsbee is the team to beat.

I have been told that as soon as the '6"6 kid on the JV becomes eligible, he will be up on varsity. That would put the Tigers with 3 '6"6 players on the roster.

I did not know we played without our big man Avory Thomas last night. I knew that he did not play in the Big Sandy tourney but Coach Brooks told me at the tourney that Avory would be back this week. He did say that he would play in the Ft. Worth tourney. It was an impressive win and even more so without our big guy. So is Avory going to play in the Bagg Tourney.............. When I talked to Coach Brooks last Saturday at the Big Sandy tournament, he said that Avory would be back this week and would play in the Bagg tourney. He said the injury is minor and they just wanted him to rest it. They didn't need him in Big Sandy. Evidently they didn't need him last night. With that said, Avory is a vitale part of our team. He will just make us that much better when he gets back.

I will never count out HJ, not with that coaching staff. Do I think my Tigers will beat them both times in district? Yes, I do. I think Silsbee is the better team this year.

I admit, I am shocked. I thought Silsbee would win this one, but not in this fashion. This kind of win can really boost the Tigers to an even higher level and that's scary. Keep on keep'n on Tigers!!
