Silsbee vs Houston Davis week 0 Predictions
AggiesAreWe replied to the sports guy's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Houston Davis went 2 or 3 rounds deep in the 4A playoffs last year, they were good. But, they lost a lot to graduation and will not be as good this year. They will still be a very formidable foe for the Tigers, but Silsbee will take it this year, 35-21. -

I got my first look at my Tigers today. I was impressed. I could make several comments here but I will just sum it up in saying this is the fastest Silsbee team I have seen in quite some time. This is by far the fastest defense that the Tigers have fielded in many years. They remind me of those WOS defenses that swarm to the ball and gang tackle. This should be a very fun year. -
His name is Kelon Archer. He is not playing basketball at the college level that I know of.

Heard about the Kellogg kid a couple of days ago. I am curious as to why he went back? Also, I wonder if he thinks he can comeback and enroll at BC later in the year to play baseball? That will not happen, trust me. As for Jace, I thought this was old news. I thought I had read over at the Orangefield site that he had said he wouldn't play football after last season. Maybe I am confused with the Felts kid who didn't play football last year. If you knew why he came to BC in the first place then you would probably understand why he went back. Okay CJ, tell me why he came to BC in the first place.

He didnt play first half of district in Louisiana actually, he was on the BC JV until his days were done when he could not play. No sir Gabe your wrong go back and look and you will find the kid played the first half of Louisiana baseball season in DeQuincy, then moved over the first of March. UIL states all transfers half to sit 15 calendar days before playing varsity even if approved. And the DEC is made up of the Superintendents of the district not the AD's. If you will view the bold print, Gabe is still correct. He did not play any DISTRICT games in Louisiana. The first of March is only the second week of baseball season in both Louisiana and Texas. District play did not start till end of March.

I doubt it. After doing about 70 broadcasts for this site, I think I have it down. ;D If Silsbee's scrimmage against LCM on the 21st was in Silsbee and it was a game type scrimmage, I might consider it. But it's in LCM and last year they only played about a quarter and a half of live game. -

I think I am going to pass. I will be making two scrimmages next Saturday. The 10am Silsbee scrimmage and the 7pm WOS scrimmage. Tell your two buddies to come looking for me. ;D -

If I am to do a broadcast of a practice at midnight, I am getting paid, plain and simple. That's going way above and beyond the call of duty. Of course, what and how much of a payment is negotiable. ;D -

In just a couple of hours, Evadale will be donning the pads. If I am still up, I might just have to make that 10 minute drive over to Rebel Stadium. -
Kirbyville will be dangerous in 2009!
AggiesAreWe replied to Wildcat4life's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I'll see first hand what kind of team Kirbyville will have come Aug. 15. They will come to Tiger Stadium to scrimmage Silsbee. -
New Linemen Among 4 Keys For Silsbee Football
AggiesAreWe replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Silsbee will not be as big on the lines as they have been in the past. But that doesn't mean they won't lack size. It's just that we are so used to the Tigers having a huge line. What little size that they are giving up, they will make up in speed and quickness. Coach McGallion is right, this is probably one of the fastest defenses that Silsbee has had in a long time. Actually this will be one of the fastest teams overall that Silsbee has ever had. The Tigers will be fun to watch this year. -
You must have a short memory bc last time our district came south stomped a hole in your district. Kilgore, Jacksonville and Marshall ring a bell? Ask Nederland, Ozen, and I want to say PNG. Was not good and history will repeat itself IF your teams get that far. Last year Longview lost to Lake Travis and SS won state. Toughest district in the state for four-a. etbu, I am a bit confused. Aren't you a Huffman guy? Where is this Marshall stuff coming from? Wouldn't your district be 22-3A?

I wouldn't blame it on DEC, Hamshire-Fannett , Silsbee , WOS, Orangefield and HJ all voted in favor of him participating. That's correct. And I suspect that if he was to try and comeback during the school year again, one or more of those schools would vote against it.

Vidor Pirates amped up in early practices
AggiesAreWe replied to Bobcatfan4life's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
On the surface your correct. I can tell you this, the coaching staff are just as fired up about the underclass men as they are about the seniors. From what they say, "if everything works out, next years team will be better than this year". I keep hearing about the freshman group this year, they are bigger, makes you think about Vidor teams of the 70's and 80's. They just keep coming. That sounds like a Skipper post after spell check ;D Too funny!!! ;D ;D ;D -
How about we lay off the all caps also.

KDOSullivan is what we Aggies call a 2%'er. I find it funny that this person seems to not like sports but finds themself on a sports website.

$20 bucks is dirt cheap for a college football game, particularly a season ticket. I think Lamar could get $35 for reserved and $25 for GA.
