I will be giving up to the minute updates of tonight's Area round playoff game between Woodville and Hardin. Game time is 7pm.

I will be doing a LIVE blog of this game tonight. Up to the minute updates of this game.

Just for FYI, the Ozen/Nederland game is not for the district title. Both teams are Co-District champs. This game is for seeding purposes only. So, whoever wins this game cannot officially claim themselves as THE district champions, just the #1 seed.

[/quote] Yes, they left the court in break neck speed. They almost crashed into our camera's and broadcast table. I was trying to get one of them to stop and do an interview after the game, but they went into their locker room and didn't leave until the last car left the parking lot. ;D

All 4 teams that make the playoffs from district 20-4A get the benefit of a good placement in the bracket in regards to how far they can get into the playoffs before they see the three best teams in Region III in Yates, LaMarque or Friendswood. The #1 and #3 seeds would not see #1 Yates until the Regional finals, would not see #3 LaMarque until the Regional semi-finals, and would not see #8 Friendswood until the Regional finals. The #2 and #4 seed would not see Yates until the regional semi-finals, LaMarque in the Regional finals, and Friendswood until the Regional semi-finals. All four teams can go 3 to 4 rounds deep before seeing any of these top teams. Note: Yates and Friendswood look to play each other in the 2nd round, thus eliminating one of the top three after the second round.

In the 1st place game, both teams still go to the playoffs, win or lose. The 4th place game is more like a real playoff game. Everything on the line.
