[Hidden Content] Very disappointed that Silsbee's D.C. Stallworth did not make all tourney. D.C. had 24 points and 13 rebounds and played his butt off, he should have made it.

I believe A&M wins the first two over Utah St. and Purdue. The Ags will then face Duke in the Sweet Sixteen at Reliant Stadium. There will be a bunch of Aggies at that game!!! You never know. -
Jacob Felts is hands down not only the best catcher in the area, but the best overall player.

Idalou was unranked....
I can't speak for Chad, but this is an upset in my book. I spoke to Coach Goffney yesterday morning and he was concerned with Idalou. He said they shoot the ball very well. -
Guys, I am still collecting my thoughts on the game while taking in the rest of the tourney this week. When I get time, I will post stats and a game summary. Right now, I will enjoy the rest of the tourney. I will say this though, it's the consensus of the vast majority of the folks that watched this game( Silsbee fans, Madison fans, other coaches, UIL officials, media, and just the regular fan) that this game was the state championship game. After watching the Estecado and Stafford game, it was pretty evident to everyone there, who the top two teams were, Madison and Silsbee. I even had several of the Frank Erwin Center staff stop me and say that the Silsbee/Madison game should have been the state title game. Tough luck.

Common opponent for Silsbee and Dallas Madison
Our game against Heights was in the Killeen tournament. We were put in pool play with Pflugerville, Westbury Christian and then Heights. It was by far the toughest pool of the 4 down there. We lost the first two games and then played Heights on an hour and a half turnaround on their home floor. We had three games in an eight hour span that day. By the time we got to Heights our guys had nothing left in the tank and a kid that started that game has since found his way to the 10th spot in the rotation. After that game they had a "Come to Jesus meeting" and they apparently got the message going 25-3 since that game. The only losses since then were to Lancaster, Desoto and Kimball. I saw parts of Silsbee's game against Heights, but didn't watch enough to gather much from it as I was in a bit of a rush.
Silsbee beat HH without 6 starters. ;) ;D -

Silsbee played HH in mid December, Madison played them after Silsbee played them. Madison didn't go very far in the football playoffs. ;) -
You may need to replay this one tomorrow night. Hopefully for a very good reason. ;)
I will not be doing any kind of replays until after I get back to Silsbee.
