1. East Chambers 2nd, followed by a battle for 3rd between Kirbyville and Woodville.
 2.
Silsbee is looking for a game for Sept. 25th.  If your team is interested, send me a private message and we can set it up.
We (SETXsports) are looking for Silsbee's volleyball schedule. ;)
 3.

I feel their offense made great strides and with a young QB in Walker I like what I'm seeing from Jasper on the offensive side. If Jasper could get the defense back on track then watch out. You can't fix one thing and let another go bad and for the past couple of seasons I feel Jasper would be good on one side of the ball, but the other side of the ball drastically hurt the team
In that case i'd rather have a better Defense. Defense can score for you and stop the other team.
I agree. In the end the old saying is true, "Offense wins games, defense wins championships".
 4.
They better keep that QB healthy
That QB (Patrick Reed) has grown an inch and has added about 18-20 lbs. of muscle. '6"3  185 lbs. 4.6 I look for Reed to have a solid year leading up to next year his senior season.
 5.
Actually every playoff game that Chapel hill played was decided by 10 points or less except Jasper.  Chapel Hill beat Jasper 70 - 28.  During the regular season Chapel Hill had three more games that were decided by 10 points or less.  Chapel Hill had three gamesduring the that they won by one point.  Jasper on the other hand, the team that could "Run it Whenever and However" was 6-5, LOST TO ORANGEFIELD, and did not beat one team with a winning record.  However I do think that Jasper did finally get a quality Head Coach in Darrell Barbay, who will do things correctly and stay for more than two years.  Good luck to the Jasper Bulldogs in 2012!
Nuff said. Barbay will get the Dawgs back on track.
 6. Due to Lumberton's field house construction, Lumberton's game with Barbers Hill on Sept. 7 will now be at Barbers Hill. This will give Lumberton just 4 home games, 6 away. Barbers Hill now has 6 home games. Next year's game between these two teams will be in Lumberton. Lumberton will host their first home game the following week on Sept. 14 against Silsbee, providing the field house will be finished.
 7. Congrats sleepy!! Good luck in Chicago!
 8. Final ARG        97 USA        126 USA goes 5-0 in pool play.
 9. So much for my thinking it was going down to the wire. USA stepped it up in 2nd half, Argintines got tired. It also got real chippy in this 2nd half.
 10. USA now with a 9 point lead with 6:33 left in 3rd. ARG      66 USA      75
 11. Post updates on the USA men's thread.
 12. Another tough game for the men. I see this game going down to the wire.
 13. That was one of the most exciting moments of these Olympic games! Can't wait for the gold medal game.
 14. It's a greater Houston area TSRN poll. TSRN (who broadcasts mostly Houston area teams) will be somewhat biased in their rankings. They will rank Houston teams over Golden Triangle teams most of the time mainly because they just do not have any knowledge of the GT teams.
 15.
That's actually good that Yates will move back up because they can recruit more freely.
;) ;D
 16. Question is, who is monitoring all this? I see some "fudging" going on. ;)
 17.

Hardin-Jefferson has a 570 enrollment. They are the 4th largest school in 21-3A. HF, Orangefield and Buna are smaller than HJ. Kountze has an enrollment of 393 and is the 2nd largest school in their Division I football district. Kirbyville is the only school larger than them and Kirbyville just dropped down to 2A this coming season. Like I said, neither school is in fear of dropping down. For HJ to drop down to 2A they would have to lose at minimum 140 students, which would be 25% of their total enrollment. That ain't happening. Kountze would have to lose at least 190 or more students, about 48% of their total enrollment. That certainly will not happen. HJ will be 3A and Kountze will be 2A for quite some time. BTW, just what are you fishing for? ;) ::)
Probably [s]hoping[/s] wishing Silsbee drop down to 2-A to avoid meeting Yates in 3-A
With an 823 enrollment, Silsbee has a better chance of moving up to 4A than dropping down to 2A. Yates will be 4A next realignment. I was told just a 2 year gig.
