The Buna Cougars and the Hardin Hornets will battle in Kountze at 7pm TONIGHT for district 24-2A's 3rd seed and the right to advance to the playoffs. Buna (14-12, 6-6) defeated Warren Tuesday night, 48-37, while Hardin (16-15, 6-6) lost to East Chambers 86-41, to force the tie and set up this rubber game. Buna won the first game between the two, 70-56 but Hardin got the Cougars in the 2nd half of district play by winning 65-56. The winner of this game will play 2A #7 Crockett in the Region III Bi-District round. Our broadcast will start at 6:50pm with tip off set to start at 7pm. This game was the final district game of the season, not a tiebreaker game. Like DV stated, DISD and HISD routinely plays games on Monday and Wed. nights due to the sharing of venues.
