[/quote] I did not see the game.  But I have confidence in AggiesAreWe to observe and report - without prejudice - what he sees.  So it may be a case of Silsbee "Stars" wanting to take over.  But, again, I remind everyone that last Friday Silsbee had some key basketball starters playing in a football game.  If you haven't done it, then I'll tell you that it takes more than [b]4 days practice to convert from the football field to the hardwood floor[/b]. ::) [/quote] I agree and in this case it was only 1 days practice. Monday was the first day the football players got to practice with the team then played their game last night.

SETXsports will be in the Dawg Dome Thursday, Friday and Saturday to bring you LIVE broadcasts and coverage of the Nederland Bulldog Classic. We will be doing a minimum of 6 broadcasts for the week and will update scores regularly of all the other games in the tourney thread which will be up tomorrow. Here is our broadcast schedule for Thursday and Friday: Thursday Dec. 6 1:30pm The Village vs. Silsbee 6:00pm Nederland vs. Hamshire-Fannett Friday Dec. 7 6:00pm Katy Taylor vs. Silsbee 7:30pm C.E. King vs. Nederland Saturday Dec. 8 TBD Other games could be added to broadcast on Thursday and Friday. Saturday's game broadcast will most likely be 1st Place Silver, 3rd Place Gold and 1st Place Gold. We may also add the two semifinals in Gold bracket. Check back to this thread later in week for any changes to broadcast schedule.

Just a bad loss. Need to put it behind them and move on. Be curious to see how the players and coaches respond at the Nederland tourney Thursday. Silsbee has two tough games to start with The Village and Katy Taylor.

The local officiating suffered when the local chapter split into two local chapters, thereby thinning out each chapter with it's experienced officials. I have seen good and bad officiating from both chapters after the split a couple of years ago.
