What many don't seem to remember, HF started the season 1-4 under DiCeollo. He only coached 5 games this year.
Wrong. DeCello coached the first 6 games of the season and HF was 3-3 in those games. Nov. 15 - Vidor, 100-58 Nov. 18 - at Beaumont Central, 36-56 Nov. 21 - at Barbers Hill, 50-60 Nov. 22 - at Nederland, 44-72 Nov. 29 - at Little Cypress-Mauriceville, East 46-44, OT Dec. 1-3 - Evadale Tournament Kountze, 67-66 -

To knock of West Orange in the manner they did, and then the thrashing of Cleveland (who, just last year, played HJ in a really close game in Baytown) just shows that they have come a long way. And, I really am pulling for HF to beat Navasota. I think that would be awesome for HF to go to Regionals after all of the adversity they had to overcome this season. Go Horns!
In order for Hamshire-Fannett to go to regionals they would not only have to beat Navasota, but also beat the winner of HJ and Sealy. ;)
I consider the Regional Quarterfinals to be Regionals. They may not be playing in Huntsville, but the banner would still say REGIONAL Quarterfinalist. ;)
That would be the same as Regional Area finalists and Regional Bi-district finalists. ;) -

The board member then basically poisoned the water. When the community members found out BISD wanted to possibly hire Flanigan they called a BISD board member and here we go. Stupid.
OK. I see. So basically, the Crosby board contacted BISD simply to blackball Mr. Flanigan, correct? And this caused all kinds of havock in last night's selection?
Correct. Here is some more on the story: [Hidden Content] -
So far I have seen no talk of it on SportsCenter or Mike and Mike.

Interesting that only one from Bridge City and one from WOS were on the all district teams but three from Silsbee made it.
