1. I posted what I read on the UIL site. I really never doubted what Nash posted based on who his source is. I was just puzzled as to why the info I read was incomplete.

 4. West Sabine      27 San Augustine    34
 5. Crosby starting to lose their cool as usual. Personal foul call on kickoff return, then dead ball unsportsmanlike all against Crosby.
 6. Liberty          0 Coldspring    61
 7. Houston Northbrook looking pretty good this season.
 8. Here is Jack Yates High basketball schedule: [Hidden Content]

Kountze is also in the Big Sandy tournament Nov. 29 - Dec. 1
I thought we were only allowed two tournaments?
That's for next year.
 14. This came straight from the UIL website in regards to the rule changes: Section 1230 BASKETBALL PLAN (c) NUMBER OF GAMES, TOURNAMENTS AND SITES. (3) Total Number of Games. No team or student shall compete in more than TWO invitational tournaments plus 21 basketball games in a season, including all games prior to the first playoff game. This shall include non-district and district games and games played in pre-scheduled district tournaments. If the district champions have a bye for the first round of the play-offs, those schools may schedule a warm-up game in addition to the game limits. This additional game shall be played on a non-school night with no loss of school time. (6) Substituting Games for Tournaments. Two games may be substituted in place of a tournament. If a team or student does not play in any invitational tournaments,  FOUR additional games (total of  25) may be played Here is the link: [Hidden Content]

 16.
I think the top 7 in this poll are all pretty interchangeable and can all beat each other on any given night.  Our area is loaded with good teams this year that can make deep runs in the playoffs.
I say top 9. ;)
 17.
Gonna put it out there early,if Dayt loses to Bh we should get bumped down.Stranger things have happened among 16-18 yr kiddos. No big deal it's about finishing most fans remember.Bye wk next when BH goes to SC.Then the SC @ Dayt finale 8)
If Dayton loses to Barbers Hill, I can guarantee you that Dayton will fall in the polls. Question is, how far? ;)
 18.
[Hidden Content] Has anyone seen this.  It would make sense with the ray ray contract extension.
I have a hard time believing that. The news source needs to follow up on that claim. ;)

 21. Call me old school, but I would rather see it go back to just the district champion making the playoffs than have a situation where 4 of 5 teams in a district will qualify for playoffs. Heck, there are a couple of district where all 4 teams will advance. You could actually have an 0-10 team make the playoffs!!! Since the UIL has made their decision to have 4 teams, then they should make every district at minimum 7-8 team districts. Also, to give some incentive on winning district games and winning district championships, they should allow the #1 seeds in DI and DII from each district host their 1st round games.
