Due to Silsbee playing Friday night in the football playoffs, the Silsbee at Beaumont Central basketball game has been moved from Friday night Nov. 16 to Saturday Nov. 17 at 1:30pm, so that fans, team, coaches and admins could attend both games.

These are the teams set to participate in BISD/YMBL Tourney on Nov. 29-Dec. 1: 5A Beaumont West Brook 5A Fort Bend Elkins 5A O.P. Walker, New Orleans 5A Port Arthur Memorial 5A Pasadena Sam Rayburn 4A #18 Beaumont Central 4A #5 Beaumont Ozen 4A Dayton 4A Galveston Ball 4A Lumberton 4A Humble Summer Creek 3A #7 Hardin-Jefferson 3A LaMarque 3A Orangefield 2A Anahuac 2A Hempstead I have the brackets and will post them later this week. All games will be played at Montagne Center and McDonald Gym

(3 starters, 3 key reserves) Silsbee two top players in Elam and Holmes are main players on the football field. I really expect Silsbee to go at least 3 rounds deep in football playoffs so that puts them still playing football during the BISD/YMBL tourney weekend.

Also, the WRS award is not just a regular season award. Playoff results and stats do factor in for each player. The season isn't over yet for many that will be considered. Way too early to make a call on an award that will not be announced till February.

If we are going off total yards, well........... Patrick Reed, QB Silsbee rushing    100/859 yards  8.59yd  8 TD's passing  105-177, 1,848 yards, 14 TD's total      2,707 yards  22 TD's I do not expect Reed to win. It will come down to Quirante and Roberts.
