[/quote] That is correct. The money donated to the site is put back into the site to help maintain the site and also purchase equipment needed for broadcasting.

The owner of the site is searching for ways to increase the amount of income for this site in order to keep it running. The costs of running the site has gone up. We upgraded to a bigger and better server to handle the increase in traffic. The bigger the site grows, the more expensive it is to keep running. Would love to keep this site a free site, but times do change. The site will not go down within a week. That was tongue in cheek. But that doesn't mean that everything is "peachy king" as far as the costs are concerned. There will come a time when this will have to be addressed in order to keep the site running. The owner has set up the donation function again. Any donation is appreciated. We are discussing things like subscriptions and advertising. If anyone has any ideas please post them. We could use all the input we can get. Thanks for helping make this site what it is, simply the best!!

[/quote] To follow up, Texpreps Basketball do predict Longview to finish 4th in district and make playoffs. The coach for Longview is Billy Goffney, former New Waverly coach. Longview was 11-16, 3-7 in district but did qualify for the playoffs last year, losing in 1st round to A&M Consolidated. The Lobos do return a '6"4, '6"5 and '6"7 starters from last year. I really like Coach Goffney and I believe he will be building a good basketball program in Longview.

[/quote] Kirby Memorial Stadium is basically still there but they have replaced the bleachers with much smaller bleachers, may could hold about 300 max. It is used for the youth football league. Also they have taken down the lights there.

I will be very shocked if Silsbee is not still playing football on Nov. 23rd. That is just the 2nd round and I expect Silsbee to make it to at least the 3rd round. Also, if Silsbee is playing their playoff game that night (Fri. 23rd) I would not be surprised if Silsbee opts not to play in the FW Classic.
