Curious myself. Jim normally knows what he is talking about before he allows it on his site. -
Never?? You don't know me.

This gives Silsbee Athletics their 5th district title out of the 6 major sports (Football, volleyball, boys and girls basketball, softball and baseball) for this school year. Football - District Champs (3 playoff wins) Volleyball - District Champs (2 playoff wins) Boys Basketball - District Champs (6 playoff wins) Girls Basketball - District Champs (2 playoff wins) Softball - Runner Up Baseball - District Champs

Congrats Silsbee Tiger Baseball on district championship.

Bridge City and Silsbee are flipping a coin tonight to determine #1 and #2 seed

How will Bridge City look this year?

No you don't. -
Resting arms and getting some others work was more of the reason. Now that Silsbee cannot finish no worse than 2nd, look for the same against WO-S Friday night. #3 Dunn will most likely pitch.

This was a 3-2 game headed to bottom of 6th. HJ scored 9 runs with 2 outs in bottom of inning. A misplayed fly ball in right started the rally. Otherwise this game goes to the 7th as a 1 run game. Silsbee did not pitch their top 3 (Partain, Sundgren, Dunn)

Silsbee did not play Central.

Ok, so not our site's coverage area.

Question, what do you consider "area"?

He hasn't been promoted, yet. I am just stating what I think will (should) happen.

You were the one stating that Ozen had better playoff runs than Silsbee before this past season. Also, more games played would help the player with stats and experience. The deeper you go, the better quality opponent. -
Old news. Look for Brad Jeffcoat to get the job.

Ozen's history: [Hidden Content] Panthers have made playoffs 10 of the 18 seasons, going 3 rounds deep once (2011) and 2 rounds deep twice (2000, 2004). Never making regional final. Ozen's playoff record is 5-10. Ozen's overall record is 89-101 (.468) Silsbee history: [Hidden Content] Since Ozen was open in '98, Silsbee has made playoffs in 14 of the 18 seasons, going 4 rounds deep twice ('98, 2015), three rounds deep once (2012) and two rounds deep three times (2008, 2009, 2013). In the 18 seasons, Silsbee's playoff record is 13-14. Silsbee's overall record is 110-91 (.547) I thought it was only fair to compare the two programs in the past 18 seasons, when Ozen started. Silsbee does have past playoff success that trumps Ozen but I think that is irrelevant to this matter.
