1. Tough choice but I would have to say Nederland/Central.
 2.

EC - 45 YES Prep SE - 43 I think... I only know EC won in spite of the officiating...
Of course it was the officials :-)
Knowing what I know when it comes to those YES Prep schools and when you have to play at their place, the officiating is very, very biased, to say the least. ;) It is a complete joke over there and I feel badly for East Chambers, Anahuac and Hardin for having to deal with that nonsense.

Buddy, (can I call you Buddy) when someone calls the parents of the football players pathetic, and that we have no talent to compete, and is pompous enough to state his opinion as FACT.  That is bashing his community.  We do have the talent to compete.  I get tired of people who know nothing of our program stating we don't.  I understand why they do it though.  When you get your rear handed to you in almost every game it is easy to make that assumption.  When you see the hard work, extra work these kids put in for football only to be mis-coached it is heart breaking.  THAT IS A FACT!  If the football coaches would talk to you, you would see the frustration they had. Then you have someone (Lazeek) who knows absolutely nothing about football to start stating his opinion as fact is laughable.  All the inside scoop he is referring to are not football coaches.  Football parents are very passionate about the sport.  Farmer Fran does not bug me.  He is a pot stirrer, but he is passionate about football and you have to respect that.  If I wanted to know what club to use on the 9th hole at Idylwild with a 6mph crosswind, Lazeek would be the first one I would ask. When it comes to football questions, his name would not even be on my list.
I could help you out there for sure!!!! As far as the football thing goes it is pretty obvious.  HJ has good athletes at the skill positions.  Where they struggle is on the offensive and defensive line.  I have seen enough games over the past 3-4 years to know that.
really lazeek! so what your saying is that every class from 2010 to present has not a D-line or O-line that was good? because if i recall back in 2010 the D-line an O-line did a great job...especially the D-line! they did a killer job at messing up plays for the other teams...because of the them H-J held WOS to 21-14 game and held silsbee to a score less first half till they started get switched out for some reason............beside that fact H-J does have the talent to compete, but instead we have people like you saying that we will never compete with WOS or Silsbee that gets the kis of the football program down on them selves and not even wanna try. maybe instead of telling them hey might as well give up because youll never be good enough. you should try this new thing out im not sure if you have heard of it but its called be supportive! its were you tell the kids hey i dont care who we are playing or how bada## everyone makes them out to be they can be beat by you if you dont back down and never give up you can take out any opponent! an thats whats calle being supportive or motivation! you shoul try sometime when you dont have basketball on your mind.  o and btw if you say "here is another intelligent first post" i want be as nice the next post :)
You need to get your facts straight. This was the halftime score in 2010: Half Silsbee      16 HJ            20 Also it was 14-8 at the end of 1st Q. I can't see where you can claim Silsbee was held scoreless in 1st half. ::)

My guess is no since he was on the 09-10 Team as a Freshman and hasn't missed a season since.
As far as I know, that would be a good guess. Personally, I am not expecting him to play next year, but I do not know all the eligibility rules.
 8.
So is he eligible next year?
Not sure.

East Chambers is doing a playoff preview this coming Friday. I have been in contact with East Chambers the last couple of days to finalize the games. We will be broadcasting these games. They are trying to get a third game so that is why I have not posted the info just yet. Will post when everything is finalized.

Houston Sterling is much better than they have been in the past. Kashmere did beat Silsbee's JV earlier in the season. ;)

 22.
As I figured. Any idea on what the high water mark was for Silsbee? 1300-1400 would be my guess in late 70s early 80s.
I graduated in '82. My senior class was 252. Our enrollment then was around 1250.
 23.
IMO if you move the games back home and make the ticket situations fair to parents, it could work. Like I said give each player on each team 4 game tickets. Give the visiting school 40% and home team 60%. Make all ticket purchase s come from the admin offices. These 2 schools will never fill Ford Arena.
But filling Ford Arena is not the point or goal. The point of playing there was to allow more to attend than what could attend at the home courts. No locking of doors, no fire marshal situations, no headaches for both schools administrations. It's a win win for everyone involved. The players and coaches enjoy playing the game at Ford Arena. Why go back to a headache when this facility can accommodate all?
 24.
I expect Silsbee and HJ to face off in Huntsville again. I think there is something special about this Silsbee team.
So you expect HJ to make Huntsville if they finish 3rd in district?
 25. Just looked it up. Silsbee's enrollment in BS years ('96-'98) were around 1080.
