Bridge City (18-7, 7-0) ranked #22 in state polls this week, lost to Carthage Monday night in non-district action, 7-3. Silsbee (19-4, 7-1) ranked #23 in state polls, squeaked by Buna Tuesday night, 4-3, to remain a half game behind BC for first place.
