A quote from the president of that officiating chapter: The play didn't result in a penalty but John Ippolito, president of the Stephen F. Austin chapter of Texas Association of Sports Officials, said a penalty for a late hit should have been called. Ippolito said one of his crews was officiating the game and that he spoke with the referees regarding the incident after the game. Ippolito said the referees told him they didn't see the hit, which is why no flag was thrown. Ippolito added the officiating crew was only four members and not five because of a late cancellation, which altered the crew's ability to call the game.

I don't think anyone locally video streams 22-5A team games period, regardless of what day they are on. Now there will be audio broadcasts of some of these games.

I posed a couple of questions to former Lamar University head coach Ray Woodard to discuss on his radio show tonight on KLVI. His show is from 7pm-8pm every Monday night. He talks about local high school, college and pro football. It is not live, they tape the show in studio. Here are the questions: Starting this week, 22-5A will start district play, playing games in mid-week, culminating in two games being played in week 6 (Mon. & Sat.). As a coach, how would you prepare your team for Wed., Tuesday, Monday night games and two games in same week? Also, in your opinion, what type offense would have the advantage in this situation?

Maybe because that game would have given Kelly it's only chance of a win this year? Maybe?

UIL will probably let schools handle this on their own. I believe punishment will be doled out from Silsbee ISD

Longest winning streak in Silsbee's history is 12, back in 1971. Went 12-0 before losing to Brenham 21-19 in regional final. Tigers won 20 of 21 games from '71 to '72 seasons. Bobby McGallion quarterbacked those teams during that stretch.
