Actually the approval was for varsity play. Like I said I've actually seen the paperwork.
That is confusing to me then. I did not know that transfer paperwork stated specifically varsity play, just thought it stated high school athletics.
I interviewed the A.D. and will air his comments today. I've held the paperwork in my hand and all approvals were signed off by the district committee and also TAPPS. Nothing was hidden by Legacy, the boxes for playing summer ball for Fackler were checked YES. It was a simple mistake made by the AD missing the rule that he apologizes for but in checks and balances this should have been stopped before the end of the season. If the paperwork is checked yes in the two slots involving summer play then district should've stopped the transfer and then TAPPS. Neither did. Instead they waited until the playoffs. This could've gotten real ugly considering the papers were signed off on but Legacy chose the higher ground by not seeking legal action. The AD stated if they violated a rule no matter the paperwork being signed off on then they were in the wrong and it was his fault. They just feel bad for the kids.
TAPPS can allow the transfers as long as those players play JV ball, not varsity. So in this situation, TAPPS allows the transfer but it is up to the school and the district committee to make sure those players are not playing varsity ball for 1 year upon enrollment in school. I do not see how TAPPS is in the wrong here. Obviously they were made aware of this by someone outside Legacy that they had players playing varsity ball who should not have been. Just because the transfer papers were checked, doesn't mean they are eligible for varsity play immediately.

It is confirmed. Sweeny's catcher Corey Simpson is out 3-6 weeks with broken hand. Tough break for Sweeny and nice break for Bridge City. ;) -

Stadium victories? C'mon now. I guess you have to say something about a team that have just became relevant after a decade of subpar performances.... And that was at EVERYONE'S stadium... ;D 8) You wouldn't remember because you were busy tugging on Lufkin's coat tail... ;)
We own Beaumont, get used to it, its gonna be like that for the next 3 seasons. 8) Oh, btw, will Central be scheduling Lufkin again like in the old days to continue getting those beatdowns from the Panthers or no? I see yall stop scheduling them once they won a State Title for some odd reason. WB still at least scrimmage them, just wondering. ;)
I know for a fact that Lufkin stopped that series. Central didn't stop anything. Post what you know, not what you think. ;)
Its not what i think, ive heard from actual Lufkin players that played in the last game versus Central that wasnt the case. ;)
And I spoke with 3 on the coaching staff, including the late Coach Outlaw. Lufkin decided to go a different direction in their non-district schedule. -
I think I am going to pack a travel bag when i leave cause no telling where I may end up when all is done. I think west is the way to go rain chances are lower. I remember one year I did a series between Ozen and Montgomery and we played at Roundrock Westwood because of wet fields.
Well, I have hotel rooms booked in Humble, Huntsville, Katy and College Station. I am ready!!! ;D
From what I'm hearing coaches are trying to get fields all over Texas.
I figured that would be the case. Too bad the Astros are at home this week. They could have rented out the Juice Box for games starting at 9am till midnight, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. ;D

Calling for 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain. Curious to see how the coaches and teams handle this situation. Look for many series to be played as 1 gamers.
Is it true if the game cannot be played by Saturday night that they flip a coin to see who advances
Not really. UIL usually allows the teams to play Monday to determine who advances. Would just be 1 gamers though.
