Never understood why some men get so hung up on uni's. That to me is a woman thing.

How about explaining how Livingston was going to drop from 5A to 4A DII? Livingston was never going to be in Jasper's football district. They were going to be in Silsbee's football district. Also, they have 5 teams in their district, so one team will be off of district play each week. Jasper obviously chose to have their off week in non district and play during their bye week in district play.

It's hard to imagine the thought of losing to the Patriots to be a "bad loss". I think this was a "bad loss" for the Texans. -
The fact is, they weren't accurate. The fact remains, he chose not to play WO-S and was looking to not play Silsbee until his admin told him otherwise.

WO-S vs Silsbee 9/23/16 Predictions Thread
AggiesAreWe replied to Mr. Buddy Garrity's topic in High School Football
Common opponents? I once saw a no-name RB out gain Earl Campbell in a game. Was he the better running back over the Hall of Famer? BTW, the no-name RB lasted just two seasons in NFL, was released. -

So one game will determine who is the best RB in area? Why not base it on the whole season? -

What Stepp had to say: Stepp: I think Silsbee fans should hold off on pushing the panic button, they may well start 1-3 after this week’s game with West Orange-Stark but the resume is still solid. They opened with back-to-back losses to Port Neches-Groves and Newton and then beat Jasper. It’s a tough non-district slate and then you throw in the fact the Tigers are adjusting on the fly under new HC Randy Smith. Even if Silsbee starts 1-3, there’s no reason to press the panic button because – as with Navasota’s early struggles – I’d still rate the Tigers as the clear favorite in their district and among the favorites in Region III in 4A Division I.

Ain't that the truth. Good thing about 2pm game, can stop off at Papadeaux's for after game meal.
-
Press box temp will be around 69.
-
I heard before this season that there was some conversation between BISD and Lamar University about trying to not schedule games at same times on Saturday when Lamar is home. I know Lamar is off this week but could be reason why the 2pm start time for some future games this season.
-
Not expecting it to happen this week, but the next win for Silsbee will be their 500th win in school history. Very nice milestone which I expect to get next week against Alvin Shadow Creek at home.
-
Wins are good, but are you saying a coach should make schedule that gets his team wins but does not prepare his team for district play and playoffs? I know several teams that schedule up because their district is "weak".
-
what about 0-5 start, but finish 10-6?
-
I also would stop short of saying Liberty dominated the game against Woodville. I was there, no domination. You simply cannot say you dominated a team when that team drove 80 yards in 17 plays, all run plays, eating up 8 1/2 minutes of clock in 3rd quarter, scoring a TD. Liberty was the better team, but did not dominate.
-
My philosophy in scheduling: non district games, schedule a tough one, an equal one and an easy one.
-
Maybe schedule tougher opponents next time.
