  1. Are you suggesting that anything not on video is untrue? Now, #3 and #0 for LC-M threw punches, but it was in the brawl. There is video proof of that happening.
  2. So we just lump an entire community? Ok. Is it fair to lump an entire BC community off of that meme? Kind of stupid, isn't it? Got news for ya, the entire Silsbee community will not be at this rally.
  3. What a lot of folks do not understand or will never understand, playing high school sports is not a right. It's a privilege. Two completely different things and rules, policies and discipline reflect those differences.
  4. The school is not holding the rally. They are allowing folks to be on campus after hours to hold rally. It is not a school run event.
  5. Not by an LC-M player, let's get that clear.
  6. What you are hearing is completely false. UIL has no say in these punishments. If the punishment is to be changed, the school district or DEC will make those changes. Not UIL.
  7. The rally is not about the next game to be played.
  8. What I meant was that there will be folks who attend the rally or support the rally for the purpose of having a platform to vent their personal agendas.
  9. In regards to the incident that folks are talking about in the BC game, I saw the video. Player did strike BC player in back of head.
  10. The couple of folks that started getting the rally organized, their intentions were to support the team and lift up the player. Now I have no doubt that others will use the rally as a platform for their personal crap.
  11. The pep rally is for supporting the team during this time. It's also about lifting a young man up after making a terrible decision. The rally is not about making excuses.
  12. Kids. Ridiculous
  13. LC-M ISD determines the punishment for their students/athletes. That is their decision. The DEC will be meeting soon and could hand down larger punishments for the players involved.
  14. Let's get one thing straight, Devon's punishment was not solely based off that 9 second video. Complete video's from both teams were viewed, people were interviewed and decisions were made based off that info. SISD and it's athletic programs have policies that deal with fighting. The punishment was based on all that criteria. I feel really bad for the young man. He made a terrible decision. He now has to face the consequences. I hope he learns from this incident tremendously. Everyone makes mistakes or makes bad decisions. You just cannot keep making the same mistakes or bad decisions.
  15. Michael McCain will start before Willie Jones.
  16. UIL does not hand down punishment in these situations. They leave that up to the school districts and the DEC's. UIL just makes sure schools abide by their rules.
  17. These are Silsbee ISD suspensions. The 22-4A district executive committee is meeting in the next two days to decide on the fate of Adams, Tyler, Brown and Bridges. They will decide if more punishment is deserving.
  18. Devon McCain suspended for remainder of season (playoffs included) Jordyn Adams 1 game suspension Calvin Tyler is not suspended
  19. Hold up folks. Getting conflicting reports on the Silsbee suspensions. Will update when I get the full and accurate story.
  20. And for those Silsbee fans needing to know, the two LC-M players involved have been suspended indefinitely.
  21. Sophomore Devon McCain has been suspended for the rest of the season (Including Playoffs). Also Senior Calvin Tyler & Sophomore Jordyn Adams have been "suspended indefinitely" following last night's events. It's my understanding this is a Silsbee ISD ruling, not UIL
  22. And since there is no JV game, I can see 2-3 players off of JV be moved up to take the place of the suspended players.
