The finalists (4 for offense, 4 for defense) will be announced this evening at WRS press conference. As for nominees, I have the list of players nominated by their coaches (I am a voter for WRS), but I am not at liberty to post. Reason being, not all coaches nominated players for this award (really don't want to reveal who nominated and who didn't). In fact, this year's list is the smallest we have had in many years.

Don't forget about Buna. Kountze lost to those guys just a week or so ago by 9.

Big time win for Kountze. I was way off on this one. The local high school basketball scene is so much better when Kountze is competing for district titles.

Titan defense was the biggest difference tonight. They play defense like that, it will be tough to beat those guys. Lofton was a beast down low, finished with game high 20 and 11 boards. Hefner had 14 (7 points in 2nd and 4th Q)

Personally, I can see this game being like the Silsbee at Bridge City game to start district.

Just don't understand why so much "hate" on Hefner. It's like folks go out of their way to be a critic when it comes to him.
