Yep. Kind of like how HISD takes care of the football schools and the basketball schools that lie in their district. Kind of "look the other way" deal to insure that these teams are successful and rep the school district statewide. This coming from an HISD admin.

This situation seems to be a "in the eyes of the beholder" type thing. I have talked to folks who were in attendance (some HJ, some Huffman, some neither). Some say punches were thrown, some say they saw no punches thrown. I watched online. The camera did not pan over far enough to view the incident to make any kind of conclusions as to what really happened. From my viewpoint, it seemed it wasn't as big a deal as some (mostly folks who weren't even there) are making it out to be. My guess is that no suspensions will come out of this incident and it has nothing to do with the participating schools.

How would they have received the #1 seed when they split with Lumberton?

As soon as you get word of these games, let me know. Would like to attend.

I broadcast the first Lumberton/Silsbee game this year. I spoke to you. You were being too loud sitting by my table. Then promptly got removed from the gym. I think most folks around here (including the area coaches) will tell you I get around and see lot's of games. I see way more games in this area than you have and that is not an opinion. That's a fact. Just ask your Coach Mitchell

You stated that all the officiating crews that called 22-4A games were the worst. Not just one official. It's your opinion, but it's off base and somewhat reflects your knowledge.

From my viewpoint, the "brawl" was much ado about nothing. Be very surprised that anything is done about this skirmish. Which what it was, a skirmish. Seen much much worse.

Your statement of the officials that do 22-4A games being the worst you have ever seen causes me pause when considering your "expertise". They are not the greatest by no means (some of the crews in the chapter are really good), but they are certainly not the worst. I have been around this area for many years watching and broadcasting games. I have seen much worse. Knowing that you have been "kicked out" of a couple of games kind of tells me all I need to know.
