I've always thought Crosby could and should be better in boys basketball. It seems it's kind of low on the totem pole.

Just an example of Lamar being a host: Vidor vs. Crosby several years ago. Vidor was the home team and filled the home side to capacity. 8,000 strong. Crosby had around 4-5000 on the visitor side. Lamar thought having one concession stand with two workers on each side was sufficient for a lowly little high school playoff game. Also, only one gate taking tickets with just one attendee. Also very little security on site. Needless to say, there were extremely long lines and lot's of folks missed a good part of the game. Lamar just doesn't care about hosting high school playoff games and it shows.

Lamar is just not very hospitable towards high school games. Also they charge more.

From everything I have been told, it's BISD Memorial Stadium in Beaumont. If it is, then I am good with that. Just don't play it at Lamar University.

My apologies for participating in this thread. I agree, time to put this one to bed.

My issue was with some of the voters. Some were ready to vote for Dontre but decided to vote for JD simply because his team won the state championship. But, the very next season those voters decided not to vote for JD even though he had similar numbers and won a state title. Tyler won it with less numbers than Dontre and a shorter playoff run. Just didn't make much sense to me.

The whole season stats are used. Dontre had over 5,000 total yards in offense and 71 total TD's that season. JD had around 3500 yards and 33 TD's. Silsbee advanced to 4A DI Regional final, WO-S won 4A DII state championship.

No it is not. I am one of the voters. Season stats, including playoffs are figured into voting.

His numbers paled in comparison. There were much better numbers and deeper run the year before. JD won it one year.

I agree. Silsbee QB turning it over 4 times certainly didn't help their cause.

Ok. I believe teams like Hull-Daisetta, Deweyville and Chester could match up. I mean, since we are talking fantasy.

Ok, then why post about games that Yates will be playing in Dallas that doesn't involve SETX teams? If you didn't notice, updates of all the games at Hoopsgiving were being posted in this thread. Just thought you would continue with the Yates game.

They were split. Just split in playoffs, not into districts.

Didn't want to make it easy for them since it was folk in Beaumont that they were trying to avoid.
