Maxpreps has Boerne record at 32-6 which includes their win today.

I was just texted this info. I guess TABC had Boerne record incorrect.

Records for all 4 teams: FF 34-4 Silsbee 32-6 Boerne 32-6 Hirschi 28-7 Coin flip determined the tie with Boerne and Silsbee. Boerne won. Then another flip for who FF and Boerne faced in semis.

Silsbee will play next Friday at either 1:30 or 3pm. Opponent and time will be announced tomorrow. 4A state championship game is Saturday, 7pm.

But, but, but.... according to a person on this site that has such a vast knowledge of the game states there is no way this can happen at the state championship game.

The biggest question is will Brownsboro get fatigued, tired legs, wore down in 2nd half?

It runs through Silsbee. In the last 18 seasons, 14 regional champs were either the Silsbee Tigers or someone who beat Silsbee in the playoffs. Only years this didn't happen in that span was 2006, 2009, 2011, 2020. All other years Silsbee had a hand in it. 2005 - Diboll beat Silsbee in regional final 2007 - Hardin-Jefferson beat Silsbee in regional final 2008 - Silsbee regional champ 2010 - Silsbee regional champ 2012 - La Vega beat Silsbee in regional final 2013 - Yates beat Silsbee in regional quarter 2014 - Yates beat Silsbee in regional quarter 2015 - Houston Sterling beat Silsbee in regional final 2016 - Silsbee regional champ 2017 - Silsbee regional champ 2018 - Silsbee regional champ 2019 - Yates beat Silsbee in regional final 2021 - Huffman beat Silsbee in regional fina; 2022 - Silsbee regional champ

I've been going to the state basketball tournament since 1972. 50 straight years of attending. I have seen my fair share of quality games and teams. Many times at the state tournament I witnessed very good teams tire out in the 2nd half due to the other team's relentless pressure. It happens. Sometimes you can see it happening based on the first half of play. I believe Silsbee was the better overall team (depth, coaching) in this match up. But to completely dismiss the fact that Washington only plays 6 players and coming off a tough game with LBJ less than 20 hours prior, they had to face a Silsbee team that was deeper and kept up the pressure, would be showing lack of knowledge of the game.

What?

I had Silsbee winning by 5, they won by 6. Can't get them all right. lol
