Another good year for HJ ...ran into a one kid show today. He almost ran as well as the back from Fairfield last year and will be something to watch in the future. Great job Hawks on both sides of the ball ...way to keep playing hard and physical.
I have to believe WOS will win by 24+ if they meet LG next week. #22 will get his 3 or 4 scores but LG won't be able stop WOS passing attack IMO.

Last year HJ ran all over them but couldn't get in, once in the red zone. Could not stop their passing game at all. Mostly new running backs this year and they are doing a good job. I believe stopping wos passing game will be the difference, with that said there are a ton of more important games coming up first. Go Hawks!!!

OK MoFo I got this for stangx2......i thought all you had to do was score more points by the end of the game.

HJ and Silsbee both went 3 rounds deep, both lost to state finalist. BUT HJ lasted longer technically, Silsbee game at 4pm and HJ at 7:30pm. Just thought I would put in a "Barryism" . :)

Isn't badsanta the same kid that said silsbee would beat HJ 70-2 last year? He is definitely a few bricks short again this year. Not sure if he said that, but that was a good one.
As far as the slow backs from last year, I know 2 were in the 4.6 and faster area, but unfortunately were unable to return a fifth year....they are going to college instead.

Kids should play as many sports as they want and make as many life-long friendships as possible. They only have 4 years in high school(except for certain high school in Hardin county :) )to make these memories. Some are able to continue on, but I believe they will regret it later in life. One of my kids was told by an A.D. to concentrate on the one sport he is pretty good at in his junior year and not play football for fear of injury. His senior year we get a new A.D. and he asks anybody to come and tryout if they want to play. He had the time of his life, set a school record and will have great memories for a lifetime. I know he and all my kids have many great friendships now with teammates from different sports, we were very glad he made the decision to play the additional sports. Let a kid have fun!

Hopefully The Coach Gets Different Umpires The Rest Of The Season.

It was a great game that went into overtime tied at 1-1at the end of regulation. Both 10 minute OT's were scoreless and then the shootout. HJ made their first 4 shots and Jasper missed twice and the game went to the Hawks. Glad were getting healthy again, should make a good run the second half of the season.
