A hard running quarterback is great. As long as he can throw down field to. He should be playing line backer or running back if he's got that headstrong football mentality. I agree he is an athlete. I just think that the back up at Nederland would produce more as well as add another phase for their offense.
All depends on the coaches scheme/philosophy. I agree though. #11 could be just as good on defense.

I like Nederland in this game. Good situation in Nederland right now with the QB situation. You have one of the hardest running QB’s and competitors in setx and you have a backup that would start at 95% of schools in Setx. Kid has a Cannon. I wonder if they will have a rotation with them or not. Either way, give me Nederland 28-14

HD will beat Kountze this year
I know that RB is very good and will be a butt load to tackle! But we will see. Good luck to the bobcats this year for sure.

I was there and Kirbyville did score once. Kountze did get the upper hand by my gosh this team is 70% sophomores and some big kids at that with some in the skilled positions with good speed. Their JV look d pretty salty also was told that was all freshman and 3-4 sophomores. I will confirm this they may struggle this year but watch out in about 2 years your looking at another 2008-2009 type team in my opinion. Kountze better get ready to get hit in the mouth by those Bobcats
Kirbyville 2nd offense scored on Kountze 2nd defense once. Their 1st team did not score on Kountze 1st D.

Will Ktze get in with the new opponents? Is Warren playing tough enough to make a push at 4th?
We will see. I can't say either way

Kountze 1's scored once against West Sabine
Warren 1's scored once against Kountze
West Sabine 1's scored twice against Warren (Their QB is REALLY good)
West Sabine 1's did not score on Kountze
Kountze 1's did not score on Warren
Warren's 1 did not score against West sabine
Warren and West Sabine went goal line and I am not sure of the outcome.
West Sabine is pretty tough and discipline on D. Their QB is one of the quickest I've seen in a while at their level.
Warren played tough and is physical.

This is a fact! This kid is phenomenal. But what separates him from the other “stars” is his attitude, work ethic, respect... great young man and to me the next Roschon Johnson of setx. Whatever side of the ball he ends up on! Maybe both lol

Westbrook is ranked as one of the best 7on7 teams in the State. I don’t think they’ve lost a game yet, and crazy part is they’re doing all this without there starting QB (L’araven) Last years JV Qb Is the starter right now.
i wish Memorial, P.N.G and United was out there, no offense to the teams in attendance other then maybe Dayton or Nederland maybe, but I wanna see WB against teams like Memorial, P.N.G or United, most teams from this area are run first, plus those 3 teams will have the athletes to compete against WB
jasper won pool B btw
while Beaumont kelly came in 2nd
Kountze went 1-2-1
Beat Jasper 13-12
Lost to Lumberton 21-20 (Last play of the game)
Lost to LCM 19-14
Tied with Kelly 13-13
Westbrook is absolutely loaded on the defensive side of the ball for sure. There were hardly any open receivers the whole day. The play with speed, heart, and very discipline.

Yes! Best overall Athlete to come out of this area. He started in basketball for SILSBEE off and on since his Soph year and was a complete game changer every close game. A Silsbee team that is LOADED. The kid just ran the fastest 100 m dash time in the history of the USA at a state track meet. He literally jogged the last 20m of the 200 and smoked everyone at the state finals and ran a 20.55! Plus he is one of the best HS receivers to come through this area for sure.

One of those RB could play QB and play it pretty good growing up... It will be interesting to see what they do.

He is a RB

Unless they have a Freshman that can sling it, this will be a very run heavy offense. They have two good, young backs returning, but from what I saw last year there is not a QB in the program that can throw with any accuracy or arm strength.
Wait until you see the Transfer Freshman RB they just got

This is year 4. Year 5 was going to be McCain and Adams senior year.
They were in the 8th grade that first year and it was pointed out to me it is impossible to tell how good kids are going to be in Jr High. Maybe but I think that prediction has proven accurate as well.
You remember what I said?? lol

Tell us what makes anyone in the district better than Alex on the basketball court as a complete player
I can't... #1 I am a coach and don't want to seem like I am talking down on a player. #2 I have coached Alex in summer ball and again, do not want to seem like I am downing him. Earnest is a DOG. He is fast, strong, aggressive, can shoot, has great handles, and is a killer on the ball. Literally takes the ball from kids 2-3 years older than him.

Cards on the table...... His numbers. 22ppg, 6 rbs, 6 stls 6 assts in district. Somebody beat those!!!
im gonna start petitioning for all y’all to get invited to the district selection mtg.... obviously the coaches don’t know...
He s ALL REGION also!!!
Y’all invited to Buna to look at the MVP anytime you want... Autographs are extra
Alex is a great player... I love his game. But stats does not make someone better than someone else.

Man, I kid you not if those top 3 all stay at Legacy they could compete for a title next season. Aron and Bryce would be immediate game changers. Thomas is already an elite level high school shooter. A lot of young talent in SETx right now
They won't stay at legacy... Maybe one or two will but not as a group. I don't believe so anyways! But I love their game for sure!

The best player in the district was 3rd from EC as a freshman. That’s hands down. Alex is a very good player no doubt but Earnest moving from BISD to EC this summer was huge for EC. That kid is special.
