Imo Woodville should win. We scrimmaged coldspring and I was not impressed. I'll say 35-14Woodville. 

More important question. What's the best place to eat in Liberty? Give me some options since I will be attending this game.

Hope you are right , but after 2 bad scrimmages and madisonville, I am afraid to run my mouth. Hopefully they get it done.

If we would not have had  a hurricane and played the first 2 weeks against jasper and WOS you would have seen a different team.  We are behind the curve and hopefully we will be ready for district. I will say this  about Woodville the running backs run down hill and Y'all have a good team. 

I'll provide updates on scoring/highlight plays, as well as the end of quarters!

It's hard to give a prediction because honestly I don't know if we will have all our starters back due to  flooded homes. I can tell you Coldspring was no match for us in the scrimmage and newton wore us out. I heard it was raining that scrimmage and we had abundance of turnovers. Newton dominated Silsbee last night so that tells me Newton has a good squad. I just hope for a good game with no injures. 

Yes it is obvious Woodville is loaded with talent and yes it is obvious where we are weak. If the right changes are made there will be no one that will be able to stay within 30 points in any given game

There will not be many teams that Woodville will not have more athletes than.  Incredible looking physical, fast skill players behind that double wing offense.  Aggressive on D.  Best of Luck to the Eagles......they will be in the mix!

Free Tailgate Party and Friday Night Football:
Dear Bridge City, Orangefield, West Orange, Vidor, Mauriceville and everyone else. We hear some of you may not have a football game to watch tomorrow. This makes us sad and we want to share ours with you. Many of us are without homes, but no Texan should be without Friday Night Football.  Deweyville wants to share ours with you. 
We will have a tailgate party starting about 3:30, then Volleyball if we can find an opponent, then Friday Night Football. 
We have about 1,600 pounds of bbq, a volunteer to smoke it all, a DJ for the tailgate party and SPORTS. We are just north of Orange on the corner of HWY12 and HWY 87. Everything is free. No one will be charged for food or tickets.Come to the party and watch some ball.  For a few hours we can try not to think about Harvey. Be our guests and let us feed/serve/entertain you.

If we could've kept the Jasper game last week, our strength-of-schedule would've been improved by a good margin. Liberty (top 20 4aD2), Madisonville (beat Teague last week), and LCM (4a playoff quality team) is a good pre-district slate for any 3A team, considering the circumstances. It should be a good game. I'm sure our boys look forward to playing one of the better backs SETX has to offer in the Winters kid.

Woodville looked very good in the 30 minute sample of the 1st team offense that I saw. A few very interesting position changes that could potentially make them even more dangerous than they already are, as well as fill some big holes on the defensive side. Left tackle Cade Bass is a beast and is easily one of the top offensive line prospects in SETX. It was a very small sample size, but if it continues on the same path.....the rest of the district better bring their A-game. 

I have alot of friends and family, as well as many many great memories that stem from the town of Kirbyville. I will support them fully any week except for when they play my Eagles. 

There are a LOT of dark clouds hanging over Kirbyville this yr. Soooo much has happened...on and off the field...that no doubt will factor into how well the team does. So I'm not going to make any predictions on how many wins/losses we're gonna end up with. I'm just gonna go support them. My daughter is a freshman and will be marching at halftime just like her two older sisters did for 8 out of the last 9 yrs, and I'm going to be there to see her too. It's Texas high school football. Anything can and does happen and I'm freaking excited to watch it all... from the first kickoff to the last second ticking off. The smells, the sounds, the sights, the everything...let's get it started. This yr I think we know that all roads for a district title will have to go through Woodville. But you know what...you gotta go through the town with a big black eye right now too. I love football and I love my Wildcats. 

I am Confident they will finish the 2 spot. while I pointed out their troubles they will face this year, Coach Byrd does a great job at putting the kids where they need to be. I don't think beating Woodville is going to be an option again this year but will beat Buna at home this year.
