I thought the spring game went well! Exciting times for sure. Dogs looking better coached than in the past, tackling looked 10x better.. offense new system, a little growing pains, but with a brand system I thought they did well. The o line looked bigger yesterday than it did in the fall… one thing I was truly glad to see black and gold teams had 2 big rosters so safe to say the football kids are staying in the program and turn out quality work…. Now for the kids to buy into the summer strength and conditioning program the coaches have in store for the athletes.
Completely new offensive system, or just new twists?

@Spidersal Are you planning to spread true Negativity once again against High School athletes and the program??? There are so many questions I would love to sit and ask you but like most you have an Alias name. True example of another Coward behind a keyboard!
One quote for him that I think is appropriate, " Don't go away mad, just go away" 😉

2001 to get over the quarterfinal hump to make the semis… Nederland played them again in a home and home series 05/06 I believe it was, the game at Friendswood all night long they kept saying the Nederland Bullfrogs even had it on the scoreboard and program… lol nederland split that series where the home team won, even though Nederland should have won the game at Friendswood questionable ref calls, FWood hit a game winner FG as time expired… baseball team beat them a few times over the years that I can remember.. volleyball and softball has beat them a few times as well..
I remember the home game against them , a couple of overtimes with Ned winning I think?

Be willing to bet there are more people worried about the lack of success than success at Nederland.
I see them winning 2 district games maybe 3 next year.
If you are looking for success at Nederland in the next couple years your best chance will be baseball.
Time will tell but it doesn't seem like people are buying into what the new coach is selling.
They could hire Nick Saban or Andy Reid and you wouldn't buy in.

Prime example for a certain player a few years back named Preston Riggs for PNG perhaps the best receiver we have ever had. He was All State in Football, Baseball, and Soccer.
Yep, most of the people I played with were in at least three sports and we had to do track as well.

There is a coaching carousel thread pinned to the top of this board.

an intentionally dense oversimplification of the issue at hand.
Not really, most of the people I played with were multi-sport athletes. This specialization stuff didn’t start until later. No one was blamed if someone got hurt in one sport and missed time in another. Life happens.

Nope it just shows the your QB coach/AD values football practice over other sports.
Normally when you have that happen you see many of your athletes play only one sport.
Just shows that you and a few others are on this thread to stir the pot, and maybe a little worried about possible success next year?

So help me, we can pull him out of retirement and really give people something to gripe about.
He who shall not be named will never step
foot in Nederland again. 🙄😀

Try reading. I asked if you were the person on facebook posting the same comments under a fake name.
@Bigdog bark at your own people.
Stay classy NDN, and keep the personal stuff out of the thread.

I don't care what it is. You are spreading misinformation about the kid. It wasn't because of a past injury. It didn't happen during footwork drills.
And I bet you didn't run any Oklahoma drills in helmets only. I am just curious now if you are the same person hiding behind a fake username on facebook making dumb comments as well.
Enough.

According to UIL archives, the playoffs were created in 1920, when the all schools played for one ring and ended in a tie. Divisions were created in 1925 when 1A was created and then the "B" division was created in 1926 and only played to BI-District. Starting in 1928-1972 the "B" division played to regionals or Bi-district, it varied. By then the PVIL and the UIL had multiple divisions up to 4A.
Nederland won regionals in '42, and '45 and tied in the '44 regionals . They were undefeated both years ('42 & '45) with one tie in '42.
PNG won regionals in '34, '46 and 47. They were 9-2 in '34, undefeated in '46 and 11-1 in '47.
PA Austin won regionals in '43 and '47. They were 9-1 in '43 and 9-2-1 in '47.
PA (Which became PA TJ) - played in a division that went to State. Those teams are listed above.
Orange- (Precursor to WOS) had several good seasons in the 19-teens and 1920s but I don't see any playoff information. *EDIT* See playoff history at the top of the post*
Beaumont- Played in the 1A division once the playoffs were created so played the full bracket.
